random: i lost my uncle to suicide two years ago. he shot himself in the house with the kids in the other room. at first i was angry with him (and sometimes it still comes in waves) but he tried recieving help and nobody would listen. i think his demons finally won and he couldn't deal with life anymore.
it's a horrible thing though and i wouldn't wish it on ANYONE.

ah, parenthood.

Greetings from another non crafty mom. My two year old has store bought play dough, her art projects often look better than mine, and I buy her cutely knitted hats that some one else has made. I try, but I definitely did not get hit with the crafty stick. But, she's happy so it's all good. Just letting you know you aren't alone

There's nothing like accepting the total oblivion of death to make you appreciate life more. I don't think 'atheism' is a synonym of 'intelligent' ... I've met a lot of dumb atheists lol, but I do think its more admirable and enlightened to seek truth for truths sake and not what it can offer you in return.

I think it would be good therapy for people with suicidal thoughts to spend time with a family who has lost someone to suicide. I tried it once before I was old enough to even comprehend the concept of grief and I'm very thankful that I didn't die now - I didn't know it then but there was so much more for me to do.
RYC: I'm almost 9 weeks, and thank you

No. Just his friends and family. Any relationship I had with him was over when he did this.

He could have found the same happiness you've found, if he would have only given life a chance. I don't know what drives someone to that but I'm sorry the people who were close to him have to deal with the pain and unanswered questions he left behind.
What a sad legacy. Pain and questions...

Random: I once heard that it's a good thing to question your faith, it means you are constantly growing and learning in your spirtual beliefs.

I miss it when it's down, too. I'm suffering withdrawals, I must have checked it a few dozen times from yesterday through the evening and again this morning.

Sweet solitude;
|
Love should be easy. Relationships are hard though.
I was the same way about the night. I still am, to some degree, even after 25 years of getting up early every weekday morning. I love the peace and quiet, the solitude of the small hours of morning. I feel free to be myself during those times. If I want to go for a walk in the moonlight or dance on the lawn or bake a dessert I'm free to do that.
