After stocking up on tons of sweets into Honeydukes, Jasmine and Harlequin parted ways, both having things to attend to on their own. Hel headed towards the Hogsmeade owl post, having special ordered something that she hadn’t dared have delivered to the Great Hall with the rest of the mail.
The building was home to the town’s supply of post owls, which numbered near 300 at any given day. It was certainly a sight to see, owls of all kinds, sizes, shapes, making all kinds of unique noises.
“How may I help you?” A wizened wizard behind the counter asked the young witch as she approached.
“There should be a package on hold for me,” she began, “Harlequin LaCroix.”
The little old post wizard nodded, “Ah, yes,” he bent down behind the counter and started shuffling things around, “came in just the other day.” He sat it on the counter before the witch, along with a piece of parchment. “Just fill out the claim form, and if you would, make sure all is well, and you can be on your way.”
Hel nodded, quickly scribbling out the needed information on the parchment. The witch carefully unwrapped the package, and slipped the box inside open. Another box was settled inside, with a hinged lid. Flipping it open, Hel smiled, the contents of the inner box were perfect, and exactly what she had wanted them to be. ‘Perfect, Jem will simply adore these.’ Rewrapping the package the best she could, Harlequin slid the package into her bag. Reaching into a pocket she pulled out one of the many Galleons she had procured from map sales. “Here you are my kind sir,” she tossed it to the post wizard, who despite his look, was quite deft, and caught the coin.
“Oh my,” the little wizards eyes grew wide, “why thank you very much my dear.” Harlequin gave the man a wave as she headed out of the owl post. |
