i had my interview yesterday. i feel good about it. of course i spent the afternoon kicking myself about a question i wish i'd answered differently, but overall i think the interview was positive. the head of the department was sick, so i interviewed with another dude and a charge tech; they both put me at ease. despite having a list of questions that i had to answer, it was a pretty laid back interview. i don't know if the department head is back today or not, she hasn't called any of my references yet. i know that there was one other interview scheduled today. i'm hoping that the other candidate sucks. haha. and/or that they offer us both positions, since beyond the initial orientation, it really doesn't cost them anything to put casuals on staff.
from what i was told yesterday, basically the hospital hires/trains at the beginning of the month, so they would realllllly have to push to get me to start in march (monday!) so my guess is that if they do put me on staff, i will start in april. either option has pros; at the end of the day i just want to be added to their roster. it will take such a weight off knowing that i'm hired, whether it be next week or next month.
