i noticed that the background codes had started working again & whatnot.
so i was testing it out on one of my older entries, i forgot to end the style code at the end & the page has messed up.
i can't see the side bar or anything, so i can't click edit entry.
i tried viewing the edit pages to the entries before and after the one i messed up, to get the session i.d and change it for the messed up entry, but the session i.d's don't seem to go in sequence.

does anyone know how i could sort this out?

what you need to do is de-visualize the entry so you can edit it.

this is my link for my latest entry de-visualized:

http://www.bloopdiary.com/viewentry.php?id=48188&num=45&devisualise=1

i'm not sure how to find your user id#, but if you can and find the entry number you CAN get your sidebar back. i mess that thing up ALL the time. haha!

actually, what you can do, after i realized I locked myself out of an entry due to the permalink thing, you go to an entry prior to the one that you cant access, copy the link shortcut for the "edit entry" link, it should look like this "http://www.bloopdiary.com/entryedit.php?num=11" and just change the number at the end of it, if you its the one prior to the entry you copied the code from, it would be "http://www.bloopdiary.com/entryedit.php?num=10". or if its the next one its "http://www.bloopdiary.com/entryedit.php?num=12" hope that helps

well thats what i did try in the beginning, but i was trying to change the session i.d
but i tried your way of just putting the number of the entry, and it worked - thank you!
i really didn't think of doing that in the first place, didn't think it would work.
simple things hey, silly me ;D
