Out of the Mouth of a 2 1/2 Year Old

06/19/2014

And, now, I'm avoiding work. lol I have a few corrections on a Bar Mitzvah leaflet & certificate, the Religious School/Hebrew School/Youth Activities calendar for 2014-15, and cleaning up the "art closet." A congregant also dropped off about 50 Hanukkah candles she bought at Walmart for 50¢ each, and I should scrape off the "clearance" sticker. We give that and a dreidle out to the kids for Hanukkah every year. But I have ZERO motivation.

The LGBT Pride parade and festival is this weekend. I'm FINALLY going. lol My mom and I said, basically, "amnit. We're going. Period." smiley Then a friend (also bi, but married to a woman) asked if I was going. They're bringing their son (omg is that boy adorable), and I also invited my new friend and her little girl, who's Morgan's age & in her daycare class. I was going to order a bi-pride flag pin, but the shipping was more than the stupid pin, so I'm going to deal with my "1/2 Gay" pin. (giggle) I checked out the web site, and it looks like fun. I don't get to embrace my bisexuality too often.

In other Things That Morgan Says That Make Me Giggle: Last evening, it thunderstormed. It looked ominous north of us, but it really wasn't too horrible. Anyway, Morgan started talking that it was nighttime. The sun was down. I told her it was behind the clouds. It was going to rain, and rain comes from clouds. She burst into laughter! "No, it doesn't, mommy!" Let's discuss the "water cycle" with a 2 1/2 year old...cheeky She also yelled "SPIDER" in the car, on the highway, as I was trying to merge onto an offramp, this morning. I managed not to scream, crash, or otherwise panic. Morgan usually yells " DINOSAUR!" or "CROCODILE!" So, I know it's her imagination. Or, I get a running commentary on the "red means stop" or "green means go" for the traffic lights. There's a road that's continuing on our route to daycare/preschool, which she loves to watch. "Construction site! Dump truck! Cement truck!" It's cuuuuute.

haha Kids say the darnest things! lol

Yeah, I had no idea sunscreen went back either. I looked it up and it expires three years after the manufacture date. Good to know!
