your eyes tell the story

Everything is going okay-ish. My dad still hasn't found a job yet BUT he has been helping around the house. It seems like the best way to let him know he needs to help out is to yell at him. On Friday he took me to my brother's school because of a special Cesar Chavez assembly and then we both went home and he helped out for about 3 hours with all the backyard work I was going to do by myself. He did most of the heavy work while I picked up the dead grass & weeds, and did some other light stuff. He hasn't been leaving his dirty dishes around the living room and he's been fixing the couch every night. I know this doesn't seem like major stuff but this is BIG for him because he never does any of these things.

Anyway, school is going well. I am not going to my archaeology class until next month because we're excavating around grass which gives me big time allergies. I know I have been doing this work at my house BUT when I do it at our backyard, I layer myself up, COMPLETELY from head to toe. I wear 2 pairs of socks, boots, 2 pairs of pants, long sleeve, short sleeve, hoodie, hat, special glasses and a face mask. My professor did give me an alternate assignment though - I have to write a research paper which shouldn't be so bad. I just have to think of a topic.

So for the summer, I was thinking of taking 2 ECHD classes which would equal to 6 units. If I take them then Cynthia would give me a raise AGAIN to $15 an hour.
ECHD 142 - The Special Child - 6:40-9:45 - MW - 3 units
ECHD 220 - The Child, Family, and Community - 6:10-9:15 - TTH - 3 units
This would be pretty fucking awesome except I'm not so sure about the timing. Not because it's late but because I don't know if I'm going to be house sitting this summer. If I am then there's no way I can take classes because I wouldn't be able to go back to the house that late.

The plan for next semester is this:
Speech 120 - Diestler - 12:40-2:00 MW 3 units
Math 120 - Sharufa - 5:40-8:00 - MW- 3 units
Health 115 - Goehring - online - 3 units
HOWEVER, this all depends on Cynthia (my boss) because there are 2 classes that are on Fridays and I don't know yet if she wants me to work on Fridays yet. It would be supper awesome working 3 days/week though. If she doesn't, then I have to take:
Anthro 140L - Smithson - 12:40-3:30 - F - 1 unit
Astro 120 - Celestia - 9:40-10:30 - MWF - 3 units
I know I took astronomy before but I only got a C on it which is LAME so I am thinking of taking it again so I can get a B or an A hopefully. And for the fall, there's an ECHD course I could take on Saturdays which would be from 9:10-12:00 but I dunno yet because I'm not really into taking classes during the weekends.

Work is going great, too. Julie and I are getting along really well and lately we have been on the same page with most of the things we want to teach the kids. I think the only thing that bothers me about this job is having to wake up so early when I don't even start work until 8:30 just because of the stupid carpooling. I get that I'm helping the planet but Jesus Christ, having to wake up at 6 in the fucking morning is annoying.
