Good luck charm EDIT

12/03/2008

You Are Palatino

You consider yourself to be creative and artistic.

And you'd like everyone else to know it!

You take design and aesthetics seriously.

You like everything in your life to be unique and beautiful - but never gaudy!

Alright. I'll accept this.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

You Are Ballroom Dancing

You are sophisticated and classy. Definitely not the type to be seen dancing on a bar.

You are a bit old fashioned. You prefer dance to be subtly sexy, not in your face sexy.

You are sentimental and nostalgic. You appreciate the beauty of old things.

You are even tempered and cooperative. You work well with a partner.

I'm surprised that it didn't come up with salsa dancing. I LOVE to salsa dance. I do like the fluid lines and discipline of ballroom dancing but I sure don't have the discipline to learn those dances. Salsa is all about feeling the music with a few universal moves in the dance form.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Your Gemstone Says...

You are at peace with your life and your place in the world.

You are not greedy or materialistic. You are generally free from desire.

You bring calm to environments. You are a good mediator.

People consider you to be good luck.

Who wants me to be their good luck charm?

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

You Are Midtown

You love so many things, you don't fit into any one label.

Your city girl persona goes to a fancy restaurant one night and a dive bar the next.

You can fit in almost anywhere. You feel equally comfortable in jeans and a little black dress.

You are unpretentious. You are neither a snob nor a hipster. You're just you.

I think Ryan should take this one....for fun only. Afterall, doesn't he take "disney princess" ones?

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

I don't think my cat, Percy, wants me to go to Job #1 of the day today. He is trying to curl up on me and sleep. Haha. I do need to go to work though so I'll make this short. I woke up today from a very disturbing dream.

I was in a truck with one of my former roommates, Danielle (not the last danielle I lived with--this one is a twin and from my "dorm days"). Danielle was driving crazy down roads in my hometown. By crazy, I mean that the truck's wheels are squealing as we turn corners. For some reason, I only get worried when we are nearing the local police station. That is one thing that, in real life, gets every corrupt-good for nothing officer (I'm only referring to my hometown cops when I insult them like that) out of the station. You'd think people who were doing that had a car full of doughnuts. Haha. Alright, back to the dream.
We, thankfully, do not squeal the tires at that location and we pass by without incident. Time passes on. We end up at this dead end area by a very murky lake. Danielle has to turn around and finds this small trail that she drives down. It leads down to the water's edge and the truck slowly rolls into the water despite our best attempts to keep it out of the water.
Did I mention that my cousins Josh, Shilo, and Michael are all in the truck....which has magically somehow changed into a school bus? Danielle is nowhere to be seen anymore in the dream from this point on. As the bus slowly rolls into deeper water, we attempt to get free and safe out of the bus. Shilo, Josh, and I get out safe enough but Michael has some problems. Thus, Shilo goes back after him. I had already pulled Josh out of the vehicle and we were on the shore. The disturbing part is that I wake up before Shilo and Michael surface out of the murky waters. I have no idea if they survive in the dream.

So, that is my disturbing dream. I'd prefer to not have dreams like that.

Onto other news...
I might possibly have a roommate again. She is calling my landlords sometime today (or soon) and asking about the safety deposit (along with other important questions). She called me this morning after I stopped ruminating on my dream.

And now, I have to skedaddle....off to Job #1 of the day for Robyn. Job #2 starts at 5pm. I will be working from 12:30pm-1:30am. Yeah...I have a very long day. Talk to you later.--Robyn

Edit (Dec. 6): I didn't get home from Job #2 until 4am. VERY long day! I passed out when I got home also...got up around 3pm the next day. I was a bum around the house until about 5pm. That is when I started to take a bath. Wouldn't you know it? The phone rang and it was BK (AKA: Job #2). They wanted me to go in from 6pm-close. I got home at 1:45am THAT night/day. Needless to say, TODAY I was a bum and slept most of the day and that is what I'm about to do again. I'm one tired person!--Robyn

yucky dream, isn't it interesting how places and things magically change like that in dreams. I hope you're got some good sleep after all that work.
