SCHOOL: the mass public of raging hormones and bad jokes!!!!

09/13/2010

ah, well its back to school we thine children. school this is just the place that kids want to spend all day. Never mind the time spent in the classes that's not what bothers me. What bothers me though is the furious hormones, Class-ism, homophobia, and bad jokes that take place in this establishment.
Class ism: it really cant be any more obvious how much prejudice goes on inside the walls of the school. whether it be from money issues, down to what kind of people you hang out with, everywhere you go in school you going to get persecuted if you don't look, act, or live like someone else This is so because kids think it Necessary to say that because these kids do this and dress like that they are these instead of just figuring out what hes like or asking if he wants to be your friend, they just stick them in a box and tape it.
Bad jokes: there is no end to this vicious circle, you tell a joke and by the end of the week it comes back to you absolutely nothing like you told it. how else can i say how annoying it is when someone tries to tell a joke that's bad but you can tell them that.
Homophobia: first let me begin by saying i never even met a gay guy in school but one time.
so the fear that a gay guy or girl is roaming the halls is not likely, possible but not likely. so i don't understand why people (other than religious people) would freak out about homosexuality. besides if you don't event talk to that person why would you hate them.
and last off let me say its never a good idea to get too far behind in school you will regret it, i do. it definitely slims your chance of doing something big, i want to be a scientist but its going to be hard because I'm two years behind and can only do applied mathematics. please take school seriously its OK to have fun but never blow it off. no matter how cool you may be.

I would think this stuff is kind of necessary, because if no one ever had to experience the shit that would typically happen when a group of teenagers were forced to assemble in one place, no one would ever learn from their experiences, and mature from it.

Not that it's right, but it's typically how people grow, intellectually.

Institutionalized schools are such an unnatural environment for kids, IMO. Where in the real world are you segregated by age and forced to be in a room with that same group of people all year? And being forced to deal with bullies . . . in the real world there are things you can do to get yourself out of that situation, but in school kids are forced to just live with it. So sad. Have you read anything by John Taylor Gatto?
