Picture writing time
The ship has departed
sailing across the sand
I, left alone...
the mascot for the cactus
the laughing stock of the town
I cannot figure out the differences
from Aa and Ab
let alone figure out my own purpose...
Its kind of heartbreaking to know
the winter itself would not freeze me over
left with chapped lips
and torn limbs
perhaps even a forgotten nest on my forehead
Still I seek that desert ship
to come back and rescue me
hopefully its captain forgot his watch
where the bottle of champagne was broken
So help me, wind and sky
help me relive my most fond memory
I hardly remember how to blink
and for better or worse
how to breathe
