Baby shower

Well the baby shower was yesterday. It went pretty well considering it was only people from my mom's side of the family and those people are all crazy! We got a lot of things we needed...some we didn't but will still use. I think the only thing we're returning is the bouncer. Don't get me wrong, it's cute and it is the thought that counts but I just can't let my little girl be in something that may not be safe...and it doesn't look all that safe. It has 2 flimsy legs that it sits on and it's suppose to bounce....how is it suppose to bounce with a child that isn't able to make it bounce?! And what if she turns one way and it tips over? It really just looks like a death trap...a cute death trap but still. Other than that, mom got us the stroller set we wanted. Now all we need is another car seat and we will be good to go! Oh, and a bed, but I think mom said we were getting that for Christmas. My aunt and uncle and cousins got us the motorized swing. It was the perfect thing! We got blankets and receiving blankets and some clothes. My sisters got us socks and bows and hangers and shoes. I'm so excited! We're going to have the best dressed kid in the city. My little sister even got Brooklyn a Coach purse...what baby needs one of those?! LOL I can't wait to get back home to finish her room and start putting everything up. My grandmother on my dad's side is sending us a check. I really want to know for how much...hopefully enough for the bedset! Not that I can't go get a cheap one from walmart but I really like this one. If it's enough, I'll start Brooklyn a savings account. I think the only thing that really ticked me off was my cousin. She brought her little girl which I knew she would, but we were talking about that I was supposed to call her back to talk about some highchair thing. Well, I was working all the time and then I had homework and just no time to call someone to talk about something that I really don't care about anyway. So she smarts off about me not calling her and I was like well sorry some of us have to work. And my aunt chimes in and was like you shouldn't be working, you're pregnant. And I'm like, hello? Money doesn't grow on trees and I have bills to pay. And my cousin was like, that's why Paul (her husband) works three jobs. And she walks off laughing. I was like wtf. I would never even ask Kevin to work 3 jobs so I could stay home and clean and drop my 2 year old off at daycare. Kevin's already working 2 jobs and going to school so it's like 3 jobs I guess. But still, that's just awful. I would go back to work at any time just so my husband wouldn't have to do that. That's too much for one person to handle.

Before we left for the trip, I found out that I'm next up for the management position. I told the owner that it would probably be better to wait and really start training me after the baby is here and I start working again. I mean, really, what's the point in training me and then having me leave anyway. But it's good to know that I have a job to come back to. I was really worried about it.
Now all I'm worried about it working full time, going to school full time, and raising an infant. I thought it was bad enough doing the first two and being pregnant.
