1. Today is known as Remembrance Day or Armistice Day in the Commonwealth countries, and Veterans Day in the US. What do you call it? Write about what today means in your country, and to you personally. Do you observe it, and if so, how? Do you know anyone in the armed forces, and how do you feel about their role?
2. Write a tribute to someone in your life who has passed away - you could write about their personality, their life, how they contributed to your life and the lives of others, and why they were special to you.
3. What is your earliest memory? Write about it from the perspective of yourself as a child, experiencing it.
