I am happily married to a wonderful man that is 10 years my junior. Yes I guess I am a cougar, but he picked me! And we were married long before the term Cougar came to be. He truly is my soul mate tho and I love him with all my heart. Don't get me wrong, he has his typical "man days" when I'd like to slap the shit outta him but it passes.
We have 3 spoiled rotten dogs which we love dearly. I lost 2 children which I will get into later, but I did get to raise my nephews B 29 and M 24 they are both in the Navy and I know at least B is making a career out of it. I couldn't be prouder!
B, my hub, has 3 kids from a previous marriage. A daughter J 16, a son R 15 and a daughter M 11. They live with their mother aka surroundsound in St. Louis.
We live in the Mark Twain National Forest on 9 acres of woods with a pond. We are 55 miles from a Super Walmart. Yes we are in the boondocks. I will never get used to the distance to shop. Been here full time since 5/09. My hubby's people are from here and it is one of the most gorgeous places I have ever seen, these Ozark Mountains. We always came here for every long weekend and vacation always saying we would live here one day. Hub is from St. Louis and I am from a tiny town in Southwestern Illinois. I am a long way from home and I miss my friends terribly.
Before we came here we lived back in Illinois in a huge old 4500 sq ft. Victorian. Our dream home. But it was horribly haunted. We didn't find that out until we began restoring it. We lived there 4 years and had decided after all the work we had done that it was time to go. It was getting to the point that I would stay out all day to avoid being alone there. When we decided to sell the house caught fire (electrical) and we barely made it out at 3AM. Our insurance company restored the house and we never spent another night in it. We sold as soon as it was done. We had enough equity in it to buy this place and put a double wide on it. I HATE the double wide but it is paid for. |
