holy shit, nearly a month since i've written! even for me, that's bad.
so, i'm currently unemployed. and it is AWESOME. yesterday was my last day at work. i was shown how truly unappreciated i was there, and have absolutely no regrets about leaving. fuck them.
the girls from work took me out for dinner last night (they didn't undervalue me, it was the owners), and it was a nice little good bye, even if the majority of the conversation was shop talk. not my shop anymore, so whatever.
today is the day we actually get possession of the house! fingers crossed that everything goes as planned (no reason that it shouldn't, but this is a big and scary thing and i get paranoid). we will OWN OUR HOUSE as of later today.
joshua is currently in vancouver on business (where he has already scored over $2k worth of stuff - inclusing a ps4 and xbox one!). i'll be heading up to my mom's this afternoon. while we technically get the house today, i'm not going to go get the keys until the morning. mom and i will drive up to owen sound early, get the keys, and clean the house top to bottom. i have a professional coming in the afternoon to clean the carpets. i'm hoping to have time to run out and get a few things (drinks, mostly) so the fridge isn't empty when we get there moving day.
then thursday night, i'll drive back to the city, pick josh up at the airport (late - 1 am?), come home and sleep, then spend all day friday putting every last thing into a box, taking apart some furniture, etc, etc. saturday is moving day, and i'm really really hoping that all goes smoothly for that. i have a few guy friends who have stepped up to help us load the truck in toronto, and my dad will be meeting us in owen sound to unload.
so, that's where i am. our internet install is on monday, so i shouldn't be out of commission for long on that front. i'm sure i'll cross-post things at some point, but if anyone actually cares to keep up with my happenings re: move (and life, really) feel free to add ange_spange to instagram.
ps: i am absolutely cutting a ridiculous key for my house. i'm thinking pink leopard print? |

I hope the move goes as smoothly as possible. Hopefully the house will be left lovely and tidy so it won't take long to clean at all.
