i was watching a special on him on MSNBC last night, and by the sounds of it, his dad was horrible to Michael when Michael was part of the Jackson 5. MJ stated that his father used to beat him if he didn't do a dance right or sang how the father wanted to. that's just awful.

well here's to hoping that people can change...i wonder if MJ specificially requested they go to his parents and if he did well that's...i don't know what to say. i wonder why debbie rowe didn't get prince michael and paris katharine. as for "blanket" wasn't his mom just a surrogate anyway?
this whole thing is sad. i'm sure MJ didn't expect a lot of this to happen--still weird to think he's gone. i would really hate to think he would sign his children over to his parents after what he went through with his dad. i feel horrible for the children :(. |

Debbie Rowe gave up all rights to her children, so it would probably take quite a long for her to get custody as she has given them up once.

I hope debbie rowe don't get the two kids because then they will be divided, and they are all they have now. their father is gone I would hope the kids stay together it is only fair for them and right. they were raised together so they should stay together. In this tragic time the kids should stay together,it would be normal for them.

So I just read up on this and they are saying that MJ didn't have a will as to where he wants his children to be along with what to do with the estate [which i thought he was renting anyway]. If he does have one, no one has been able to find it.
Something is telling me this is going to be messy. I'm sure if he didn't want his kids to be with his parents he will definitely be turning in his grave. |

Wow, really?
How can you have so much money and no will? You'd think with him being 50 he'd be a little more concerned with his children and their welfare. Not saying fifty is old, but it doesn't make you a spring chicken :-/ |

No kidding. Later on I heard or maybe read, I can't remember, that he DID have a will. So who knows at this point :-S.

Then again, the dude wasn't really there to begin with. :|
common sense probably left him a long time ago lol. |

Yeah, he was defintely an odd one. A genius but odd--I think that's some of the reason why people were so drawn to him in that sense. You know, just kind of wondering what he'd do next.
Sure am going to miss his music though. |

I even have a will per se, with work every year they hand out this paper that you fill out so if ANYTHING happens to you, you can state where your retirement fund goes to, I decided that if ANYTHING it's going to my brother [who is 4 years old] that way he is okay well off when my parents die [they are 60] even though I know Laurie [32] would take him if ANYTHING I just want him to be well off because he will always be my little dude!

Thats through your job, 401k I'm assuming? You're required to have that, so the company can't be sued by your family saying that they took your money.
A will is completely different. |
