I am going on a "road trip" by myself next week. I am driving about 4 hours each way to a cabin to meet my friend for a few days. But I get bored just driving the 45 min to get to work. So I was wondering if anyone had any good trips about long trips driving by yourself. What do you do to break the boredom?

I drive 10 minutes to work everyday and listen to books while I'm driving. Esp if it's a book I really wanna read and don't have time. Maybe do that. Make some of your favorite cds to listen to.
To alleviate sleepiness, pull over every so often and get out and stretch. That way you don't get sleepy and fall asleep while driving. |

As others have said... I listen to music I can sing a long to. Or my favourite radio station. And I stop every 2 hours for a break and some caffeine!

4 hours isnt that bad. but i know what u mean i used to sleepy driving an 1.5 to see a friend in jacksonville. i would say if u have a bluetooth ear piece call someone that you can have a good conversation with to distract u from the minutes passing slowly. and also i agree with everyone else put on some great music and just sing your heart out.
