My girlfriend took me to see the movie, while I HATED Twilights version of Vampires (Anne Rice all the way baby!!) the Wolf kin kept me interested, I'd totally hang with those dudes. Still most of the movie was cheesy. I haven't read the book, I just didn't like the "goodie two shoe" vampires, pretending to be doctors and going to high school, it's all a little too "Teen book drama" for me... oh right. And the girl, shes in total loser denial.
Funnily enough, I'd go see the next one, and hope a cooler nastier vampire kills a few of the nice ones. Would not touch the books though.


Oh.. at least they didn't have guns, Underworld was the biggest joke ever. Vampires with guns.. hahaha ... no.

As much as I am loving these Twilight books, my favourite vampire of all time is still Lestat. Although I don't like the gay overtones Rice gives him. No no!

Lestat is a frieking rock star. Hes just plain cool.
When it comes down to it, he is my vampire too. Despite his ridiculous Ego!! Love to hate him, hate to love him.

Recently had a listen to the 'Pandora' Audio book. Brilliant... Anne Rice takes you back in time.
Memnoch the Devil is still my favorite of her Vampire books though.

Pity Queen of the Damned movie was such a piece of crap (soundtrack rocked though!!)

OH I LOVE the QOTD soundtrack. I have the movie on DVD because even though it's shit, sometimes I can't help myself ;D I like both actors, but definitely prefer Cruise as Lestat.

Same, I got the DVD. I wasn't too sure about Cruise as Lestat. While he played him really well, I didn't think he suited the description in all the books. Townsend had more of the smooth French thing happening (and he was taller!). Aaliyah was perfect as the Queen.

I suppose though, Lestat in "Interview with the Vampire" was described and portrayed from Louis's perspective.
