Is god helping them? Is this some test of these children's faith? A punishment for one's sin?

At least one of those children has had her 'abnormalities' corrected with surgery since the picture was taken. And a cleft palate can also be fixed surgically.

I also note that most of those children are smiling. Perhaps they don't see the fact that they're different as a punishment. But then, I don't think anyone does. I do believe that we're sometimes put in trying situations to challenge us and make us better people though. Not to mention free will plays a part too. Cleft palate for example can be prevented by taking folic acid during pregnancy. But that is the mother's choice. Because she has free will.

Charges for murder have been filed on the mom, and the dad... but NO CHARGES have been filed on the others who stood around and watched it happen? Talk about justice.
