So I read two articles about this couple and their eight children. Does anyone here watch the show? And how much do you think is true? It says that marital distrust, cheating, and Kate being over obsessed with money is all part of the problems. It even stated that they are only together for the $75,000 they make per episode. (There is normally 45-50 episodes in a season. That's roughly $3,250,000 a season!)

What are your takes on this?

i love them, and will continue to watch their show. i honestly think people blow shit out of proportion, and i won't believe any of the stupid stuff that i hear until i hear it straight from either jon or kate's mouths.

From what I read, there is no problems.. At all. The girl that Jon has been accused of cheating with even came out and said there is no affair. Her brother made up everything.

they were like my entertainment during pregnancy since i was on bed rest. well as far as what i hear on people mag. she spent mommys day alone in a hotel and she is kind of confused because she dont know who the girl was. i mean i hope they dont split but it mean if it does it does. kate can always got back to work after all when she was working she was making more money than jon.. [people mag. gives you alot of gossip]

I don't really care about the money problems or anything. I LOVE this show and think that Kate and John are so cute together. Whether they're divorcing or not, isn't our business, neither is their money. As long as their kids are okay. Some people think Kate is bitchy and whiny, but I think she's a good mom and has a great sense of humor. It's cute. I haven't seen the most recent episodes, and I'm looking for them!

But the thing is, they have made their lives open and public to anyone who wants to watch it. I think they need to step back for a while and go back to their roots as a family before fame destroys them.

They are a public inspiration and example now and they need to rethink how they are showing this.

I personally think that the kids are the most important outcome in this. The others around roughly 5, but the twins are older. They don't need to have their parents going through a rough patch publicly. Most of the time when parents divorce it is done in relative privacy...you know, not documented on television where all your friends and their parents get to see. So really...I think it's harder for the children and that's what would upset me the most if divorce is how it ends. I think Kate seems a bit controlling and Jon a bit absent, clearly shushed by his wife most of the time. I suppose with 8 kids you need to have a more firm control on things, so I'm not completely saying she's in the wrong for being so...well, stuffy.

But Ms. Jack your right. There is a way to have firm control without completely being a jerk to your husband. I think she's a great mother; but I think at times she's too pushy, and too controlling.

And you are absolutely right; like I said in my comment, they need to step back for a while.

I enjoy watching that show but I do think Kate will eventually push Jon away if she doesn't stop treating him like one of the kids and control him. I like her, she's a great mother and they both are an inspiration on how well they have handled sextuplets and twins. They aren't divorcing anytime soon though. Kate spoke on a talk show (damned if I remember whose now) and said she did not believe Jon has or would cheat on her and they are working on things privately off the show.

Kate is a complete bitch to Jon. I can't believe this show has lasted as long as it has.

I agree he needs to leave that chick. I've never even watched a full ep but I can tell just from the commercials and such that she needs to chill out and leave him alone. She treats him like he is one of the kids.

Actually, this week she admitted to People magazine that they may split up. It's fairly obvious they don't have a healthy relationship at the moment. Personally, I think they need to get off of TV entirely- and go get some counseling.

It's so hard to say. We truly don't know anything about them - the whole entire show could be staged. Sometimes I wonder if the producers don't tailor it to meet their own needs, just to get the good ratings. Jon might be just as mean as Kate, but those clips might be left out. Who knows? It what I see on tv and the news is real, then I really hope they reevaluate their priorities and put their family first.

I use to watch the show all the time. I think that Kate can be very pushy and rude. One episode sticks out in my mind where they were in a Toys R' Us and she made a fool of herself and Jon. However it is also very difficult to deal with a husband who is childish and kinda slack. I just think they need to take a break from public life and one another. As big as their new house is I'm sure they could have His and Her side for awhile and try to work through their differences. I pray they will for the kids sake.

I stopped watching them after they moved into the new house and Kate got after Jon for not using coupons. She made a HUGE deal out of it and it must have been so embarrassing for Jon. I personally can't stand Kate anymore and haven't bothered to watch the show in a couple months. Maybe they can work through things but I think the money has gone to Kate's head and they might not be able to. Then again there are two sides to the story so who knows.

I'm basically with everyone else on this subject... I feel bad for the kids. it sucks what people will do just to be famous. I can't believe how kate treats jon, its really sad. her "love taps" are really slaps!!! I know she wants to stick to a strict schedule(at all times) but you don't have to treat your husband like crap just b.c he didn't follow through with something.

I've been keeping tabs on all the magazines. there are suppose to be 4 covers out this week about them but what's in PEOPLE is true. but the other magazines have actually talked to her brother and sister-in-law, which she isn't in contact with them anymore. I just wish them the best.
