I'm more of a fan of entertaining movies rather than ones that make you think, so I love Notting Hill, Bridget Jones's Diary and Love Actually (I love Hugh Grant haha). Billy Elliot too! British films ftw ;D

Of course, if you like movies that make you think or just depress you, then I recommend Trainspotting, Requiem For A Dream, Girl Interrupted.

Amelie is a fucking amazing film too, and I also really like Tristan & Isolde.

Boondock Saints
The Dark Knight (Batman) + First two Batman movies (Tim Burton ones)
Snatch

Oh God, American History X is horrifying! Good, but so damn brutal. But definitely a must see.

Love Donnie Darko too.

I'll admit that. That... curb stomp scene.

I've never been able to look at curbs the same way since.

Ignore 'I' at the bottom. I accidentally typed that. That is not a movie. Oh but I did just think of another movie.

Ooh yes Pan's Labyrinth, that's a good film although a little freaky! And I think EVERYONE in the whole world needs to see Amelie, it's so amazing! I haven't yet met one person who didn't like it.

But V for Vendetta? Haha I remember my mates at uni forcing me to watch it and I fell asleep ;D

hahaha. Yeah, I think it has good drama/comedy/action. Plus I looooove Natalie Portman. Also the music used in the movie is really good. It isn't for everyone though. I saw it in theaters and everyone I saw it with disliked it. hahaha.

HARRY POTTER!! (1,2,3,4,5, and soon 6!)
Can you tell I'm addicted?

Twilight was an awesome series, BOOK WISE, but the first movie was CRAP. I'm looking forward to New Moon (being a Jacob fan and all)

I can't think of many right now, just the ones I like to watch more than once.
Titanic
Finding Nemo
Mean Girls
Dirty Dancing
Liar Liar (anything comedy with Jim Carey is AMAZING!)
Red Eye
Panic Room
Flight plane (or something? with Jodie Foster)
Speak
Across the Universe
Alice in Wonderland
Gran Torino (when it comes on dvd)
Yes Man
Iron Man
the Dark Knight
Eagle Eye
Transformers

Umm, if I think of any more, I'll post them :)
(Personally, I thought Slumdog Millionaire was a let down, probably because they hyped it up so much that my expectations were too high)

I'm really with you on Harry Potter. I took the week of HBP release off so I can wait in line, lol. I actually have an appointment next month to get the Deathly Hallows symbol tattoo. That'll be my third HP tattoo... Yeah. I'm addicted too.
