You understand what I mean by "natural," right? I mean, non-supernatural. Natural, as in the natural universe. Interacting with a God would require a supernatural force. Also, your tone is a little insulting. Don't assume arrogance without giving my words more than two seconds of thought.

I am sorry you assume my "words" to be insulting when if talking face to face they would be said in a matter of fact tone. They were given more then two seconds of thought, I don't make snap judgements or replies to do so would be foolish. Yes I do understand what you mean by natural. Though I am not sure why you are hung up on "natural" .... (sorry I can't think of any other term at the moment to use other then "hung up") As I do not know you other then seeing a few posts on the threads now and then I am not sure if you are honestly looking for a purely scientific/logical reasoning or proof of a Christian God or just looking to create chaos.
Not to turn your own words around at you - but you do know what the definition of a Miracle is right?

I'm "hung up" on the word natural, because there has been exactly 0 natural interactions with God in all of history. Recorded or not. I've never referred to myself as a gnostic atheist, because I can't unquestionably disprove the existence of a god, but I can tell you that there isn't any tangible, OR credible eyewitness accounts of the existence of a god, because nobody has ever interacted with him/it by any natural means.

And yes, I came into a thread called "Religion and Superstition" to talk about religion because I just wanted to create chaos. In this same universe, you're engaged in a civilized, intellectual discussion without insulting anyone's intelligence.

Learn and understand the concept of sarcasm, and the meaning of the word "natural." It was your tone that led us here. You came into a thread called "Religion and Superstition" and expected everyone to pad their posts with, "well, I don't want to offend anybody for having a completely unoffensive, yet contradictory opinion, but here's my disclaimer," and now you're the one backing out of the discussion as if I'm throwing myself at you like some aggressive firestorm.

If the definition of the word "natural" varies depending on our respective religious beliefs, then so be it.

And yes, I know the definition of the word miracle. Can you show me an example of one?

I dont know what else to call you so please forgive me - but anonymous source - when you have already said that you do not believe in miracles why am I going to sit here and tell you of the miracles (and yes there have been some in my life) that I have seen? (not being sarcastic or cynical even if you do not believe me - I really am not that type of person unless on my soapbox and I reserve that for my own diary. I am very sorry if it has come across that way here. thats the problem with forums - you cannot hear tone of voice. I too like fraggle have a form of autism called pervasive developmental disorder so sometimes things dont always come out in written "word" the way I would speak them - not an excuse - just a heads up - explanation if it has seemed harsh or misunderstood in the "tone". I have meant no disrespect - honest. I feel everyone has a right to their opinion whether I agree with it or not) I do not like confrontation so you will have to forgive me/excuse me as I bow out. It is not that I feel that I cannot defend my faith or I am afraid to defend my faith or to "stand" up to you... I just have too much going on in my world right now to do both this exchange and deal with whats happening IRL... Perhaps another a time? I did leave you a comment on your entry. I would ask you the courtesy of leaving it at that for now. I am sorry i did not pick up on your sarcasm - such things are truly lost on me. I could point you in the direction on those here on bloop that have known me on bloop IRL now for almost 20 yrs but I know that they tend to like their privacy and to exchange comments and have their diaries on a strict FO setting. You do seem like an intelligent person, a science inclined person; I wouldnt mind adding you to my fav list just to read your entries as you seem to have some very interesting ideas if that would be ok with you. But ONLY if that would be ok with you.
Again I apologize, and look foward to cont this once this settle down here at my house. I hope you understant.

Now that I know and understand the issues, maybe I can approach this conversation from a different angle, and we can go back to having a rational, civilized conversation when you are ready to do so.

Thank you for understanding. Give me a few days, and we can continue our conversation. Would it be ok if I added you to my "fav" list?

Moreover, why is there a tendency to "fill in the blanks" when there's no scientific explanation? If we can't explain XWY through scientific methods, there must be an almighty God pulling all the strings? Like many of you observed before, some things that would have appeared to be the product of magic or demons a thousand years ago have been explained through science, so why not accept that we don't yet have all the answers? What's behind the leap of faith between "no scientific explanation" and "god is the answer"?

And if you've already made the leap of faith into religion, isn't it easier to believe in other things, like the horoscope and lucky numbers and conceiving a baby of a specific gender when the moon is full?
