my boyfriend and i are planning on going to vermont for the weekend. We are going to the ben and jerry's factory one day, which i think will be fun.

I recommend Shelburne Museum, definitely... There are a couple of beer factories here, too -- Magic Hat and I forget the other.
Ha I have lived here for 8 years but I don't do a lot of touristy stuff. I do highly recommend the museum though! Maybr check out the ECHO aquarium in Burlington? That is probably geared toward kids, though, I don't know.

we had a blast :) we went to some cool park, went to the burton snowboard factory, and walked around church street the day we arrived. after we walked around church street, we pigged out on pizza and went back to the hotel for the night. the next day we relaxed in the morning, had our breakfast, watched a movie, left the hotel, and went to ben and jerry's factory. it was fun.
