I am considering switching companies to one of the lower costing prepaid phone services. So far Virgin Mobile seems to be the cheapest with a $25 a month plan that includes unlimited text and web, with 300 minutes. I don't make many calls so I don't need many minutes. But I have heard mixed reviews on their cell service - some say it's spotty service, some say it's excellent service due to Virgin Mobile using the same towers as Sprint (don't know if that is true or not). I thought I'd ask here to see if any of you have used their service and what you think of it as a whole: Calls, messages, emails, internet, everything they offer. I want to make sure I choose the right service before I buy. Thanks everyone, I appreciate the feedback in advance! :)

I had VM for about 5 months at one time, and in my experience the service sucked everywhere I went (I live in Southeast LA).

That bad? See I don't know how the service is out here. I thought maybe I should get a cheap one by then and just try it for a bit before totally switching to see what I think. I just hate paying as much as I am now :o/
