Firstly the word you are looking for is 'accepted' NOT 'expected' which means something totally different. Secondly, the Euro is NOT accepted in the UK (except possibly in some international airports). The currency in the UK is pounds Stirling. It is the ONLY currency accepted here.

England has a greater population, so is 'bigger' in that sense, but you clearly don't understand how government works here. Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland are devolved nations. We control matters of health, education, tourism etc ourselves, seperate from the British government in London. We are partly under British (NOT English) control, and partly under our own control. To say that one nation alone is the 'big fish' would be like saying one single US state is the 'big fish' in the US.
