I have that book in my bathroom. I think I've read that book so many times the spine is dying. I have to get a new copy of it.

I've heard that you have to get a few chapters in before it gets readable... I loved all of the Twilight books, but I'm probably not going to read The Host...

Well the general idea behind the book is an okay one. An alien taking over a human body and the human wont give it up.
But the book is so terribly written its not even worth it.

I love the harry potter series. I'm almost done book number 5.
I love Lee Childs books, he's a good writer.
Anything by stephen king or Jodi Picolt

The dexter series (that the tv show is based off of) is very good as well. I'm patiently awaiting the 4th book :-)

They also have i think its 4 books about Percy Jackson, of which they made the movie : Percy Jackson and the Olympians: The Lightning Thief

Jeff Lindsay is the author. Be warned, though, the books can be quite different from the television series at times.

I thought the True Blood episodes stuck very well to the books. =/
It's the only show I've ever seen that's done that well.

no season three starts in the summer.

The only real difference I saw was that they kept layfayette alive and gave sookies friend (she's the black girl in the show. I can't think of her name) a more active part in the show.

I Think it stuck to the book really well.

The Dome by Stephen King. 1078 pages long, Duma Key and Lisey's Story, also by Stephen King. Those would keep you busy for a while.

Unless you are a HUGE King fan, I wouldn't recommend IT. I had to force myself to finish it, which I've only ever had to do with one of his other books (The Tommyknockers). It was a good book, but by the middle you're ready for it to be over and it's just not.

Read The Stand! It's wonderful and very rarely boring.
