I booked my ticket, parking, and motel room for the Indy 500 this year. I attended once before, in 1969 but this is the 100th anniversary of the first Indianapolis 500 and it just seemed fitting that I should attend. It’s a LONG drive and the view is better on the TV but I wanted to go back once more when I was old enough to appreciate it. Mario Andretti won his only Indy 500 the last time I was there, it would really be a coincidence if Mario’s grandson Marco won this yar!
My finger is getting better. It’s a little swollen and it still feels really weird when something hits the tip of my finger where I only have feeling on one side but I think I’ll get used to it eventually. |
