I put on the cut resistant Kevlar gloves last night for the first time since I cut my finger. I was doing some delicate cutting on a plastic model kit (plastic surgery?) that required my fingers to be in close proximity to the blade. Wearing the gloves made me feel a lot more secure and I didn’t suffer any (additional) clumsiness due to the gloves. In fact, the palms and gripping sides of the fingers in the gloves are impregnated with rubber so they’re actually pretty grippy. I think I’ll be able to deal with them for the long term, I just hope I never put them to the test!
If it isn’t raining by the time I get home I think I’ll take the dog for a walk. I have extra daylight since the time change and both the dog and I need our exercise. Today is her birthday, now that I think of it. She’s 11 years old today. Beware the Ides of March, indeed! |
