Time for one of my increasingly infrequent updates.
The Easter weekend completely sneaked up on me, I wasn’t aware I had a holiday until the Tuesday before when it was mentioned in our weekly meeting at work. Even though Good Friday was rainy for much of the day it was still nicer than being at work for that time. I went out to do the shopping for the week, returned home, walked the dog, made a pot of chili, and made a pan of brownies before relaxing for the evening. Saturday morning I woke up too early so I made myself productive. I filled the sink with warm soapy water and polished the paint on a couple of model car projects. The 1964 Dodge that I sliced my finger while working on a couple of months ago and a newer project, a 1967 Mercury Cyclone.

After doing that I went outside to change the oil in my car, then I watched the NASCAR race from Nashville. I really hate the new track, I miss the old Fairgrounds half mile. After the race finished I walked the dog, took a shower, and alternated relaxing with making more progress on the model cars.
Sunday I woke up, marinated some filet mignon, and got the grill going. Cooked the filet to a perfect Medium while making sweet potato fries then enjoyed lunch. I took a nap after that meal, then did some work around the house. Hung a picture, ran some errands, cleaned my handguns, and wanted to mow the lawn but it was still too hot. I ended up mowing the lawn yesterday after work, it wasn’t as hot yesterday. |
