I showed my progress on this model in the last entry, I’ll call it finished in this entry. When the photos were taken the model was still missing the chrome foil on the door handles, that’s been added. I’m also missing a fuel filler and a splash of aluminum paint over the locations of the turn signal indicators in the tops of the front fenders to replicate the plates that covered the removal of the indicators. I’ll wrap up those details soon, probably the next time I’m fabricating something.
I had a nice relaxing weekend. We went to the zoo early Saturday morning, rather than exploring the entire zoo since we’ve done that a few times we concentrated on doing the interactive things. We fed lettuce to the giraffes, fed nectar to the lorikeets, and fed and petted the goats. All in all we were there about two hours, then returned home. I might consider getting passes to the zoo so we can do that more often, that was a lot of fun and the weather was absolutely perfect. |
