Busy day

03/07/2009

The weather was gorgeous here today, I took the opportunity to get a few things done. I was exhausted last night, I fell asleep in my chair around 9:30 PM and finally got up to go to bed around 10:30. I woke up around 8:30 AM this morning, prepared a package for shipping, then left to run errands. I picked up my second-hand Beretta pistol from my local gun dealer, I had bought it online and had it shipped to my local dealer so I had to go through the background check before I could pick it up. The post office is on the way so I got a model car kit shipped out to Canada then on my way back I got a haircut and picked up a pizza for lunch.

After eating I started to install a new latch on our gate while Olivia picked up pine cones from the back yard. I ended up helping her pick up the pine cones since I had to recharge every single drill/driver battery I own. Then I had to make a run to Home Depot to pick up a wood chisel since I couldn't find my router in the garage! I took a little break around 3 PM to watch the race on TV then I went back outside to finish up. I got it all put together and all my tools put away before dark, I probably should have spread some fertilizer/weed killer while I was already sweaty but I didn't think of it. Tomorrow is supposed to be more of the same, I got some meat for hamburgers to grill out.

I might be going to Utah in a couple of weeks. It's not set in stone yet because the date might slip out a couple of weeks and if it does it will conflict with my vacation in Pigeon Forge. The trip is to do some testing on a new rifle that we are designing, the Browning North American headquarters is in Utah and that's where we would be doing the testing. I hope I get to go, I'm looking forward to visiting Utah.
