2022 Can Just Fuck Right Off

Where do I begin?

Well, in February (Valentines Day to be be precise) someone hacked my bank account. I had to spend hours on the phone and at the bank just to get it sorted out. I ended up having my card changed three times because they gave me the wrong one back, and then had to get a brand new account. I had to switch over every single thing that came out of my account in a short period of time. It was stressful and I hated not having access to my money.

About a week later someone came into the pharmacy and threatened me with a lit blow torch. The anxiety that produced is still causing me some issues. I now think every single male who comes into the store is going to threaten me. It's not logical and I'm aware that not everyone is a scumbag, but I'll be dealing with that fear for a while. That's okay; I'm working on it.

And then March 14th, a glass and metal display door had come off its hinges. I was holding the door while a coworker went to get a screwdriver. No big deal. There was a shady dude staring at the other electronics in the area and I was tyring to watch him while I waited. That turned out to be the wrong thing. The door slipped from my grasp and the metal corner inserted itself into my arm. At first I thought it was just an indent from the force that it slipped, but the shady guy I was watching saw it and said " Yeah, that's a hole." Then it started to bleed. A lot. I ended up having to leave and go get stitches. I also had to file several reports with my work and WSIB. My hospital experience was pretty boring. I wasn't allowed to bring anyone in with me so Chris dropped me off and picked me up several hours later when I texted him. I also couldn't take anything for the pain because I can't have NSAIDs. They also gave me a tetanus shot because I wasn't up to date. That was actually worse than the stitches. The stitches come out on Wednesday. My arm still hurts from the shot, and the laceration is now itchy. So that's a good sign I guess. It was a hole, guys. Like when Chris was doing a cleanup of the injury (becasuse the bandages that were on had been pretty gross and I wanted to go home and change first) he said it was like a mouth and that I definitely needed stitches. Get with people who know first aid, folks. It is super helpful. Luckily, a nurse friend is coming over to my house on Wednesday to remove the stitches so that I don't have to wait. It's still bruised around the laceration. Such lovely shades of yellow and purple, folks. LOL

So yeah, I hate 2022.

Lemme guess...Bank of America. Same happened to my husband. The 5th card worked. It was insane!

Wow, I'm so sorry both those incidents happened! Hope your arm heals well

Not Bank of America; I live in Canada so that's not a bank we have.

I'm supposed to get the stitches out today, and the person who was supposed to come do it bailed at the last minute and now I'm struggling to get in anywhere to get them removed. Ugh.

Your bank took lessons from them then lol

That sucks that your friend bailed. Hope you find somewhere to go. Do you have urgent cares there?

I ended up finding a clinic to do it for me. We have lots of urgent care and clinics here....wait times are insane usually because socialism is strong up here. I got lucky and was in and out in forty minutes.

That is balls. I've been getting the "we need to discuss an important financial matter" voice-mails this week. Um, no, that's ok, thanks.
