693. school SF Concert Karen 3 21 2015

693 school SF Concert Karen 3 21 2015

School “A to Z grant writing”.

I forgot how easy school comes to me. Granted, all I’m doing is reading material, taking a short quiz on what I just read and writing a little assignment but still.

I’m copying the lesson into a MS word doc so when this class is a distant memory, I can still go back and find how to do something. The lessons are about 13 MSW document pages. I read through them once then go to the quiz which is only 5 multiple choice questions. I guess as like most multiple choice test, there are answers you can rule out leaving some to ponder but if you know the answers as I do, it’s really easy.

Then we have an assignment. The first one was to introduce yourself. The second one, I won’t be able to do because the professor is assuming you are in the field already it seems. She teaches about this form which makes it easy to organize and keep track of what documents you have gathered for the grants and which you still need to obtain. I don’t have an organization or if I did, I wouldn’t feel comfortable approaching someone for their financial documents and proof of nonprofit. (2 of about 12 documents you need) when I don’t have position.

However, I have studied the form and I understand it all. (With the help of the lesson notes).

I did –am running into accessibility issues with the website but I’m writing the company that runs this class and so far, they are pretty good about it.

Is it May 9th yet?

I’m SO looking forward to my trip to San Francisco with my BFF Lisa.
She isn’t the planner type. She wants to just go and whatever looks sparkly and interesting, we’ll go in.
As for me, I plan on only going to SF once in my life so I want to do-visit everything and in order to do so, you need to plan things out a bit. So we have the Giants game on Sunday afternoon. The A’s game on Monday night and Alcatraz Tuesday afternoon. Saturday, no plans. Monday afternoon, no plans, Tuesday night, no plans. Sunday evening… I’m going to make a reservation for a nice restaurant so we can get dressed up and then go to a bar after dinner and try to stumble our way back to the hotel after lol. OH! And since everything I mentioned so far, except for the nice restaurant and bar, which was her idea, there’s nothing for her. They have wine tasting rooms. I’m guessing they are like a very big room in a wine store where you can go and sample wines. I found this groupon for 2, where you can tastes wines from a list of 20. I think you get 5 glasses and then you get to bring home a bottle of wine. Regular price 82 dollars. Groupon price $39 but groupon was having a promotion of 20 % off when I bought it, so an $82 value for only $31. Who’s a good shopper? Lol

If anyone has ideas they would like to suggest for either things to do or places to eat or bars to drink at, let me know.

Gin Blossom and Sugar Ray concert

Last night, my mom and I went to a casino in RI for the concert. She got the tickets for free…We went down, gambled a bit. Went to the concert.

Both groups were really good. It was my 7 or so time seeing Gin Blossom and probably my 3rd time seeing Sugar Ray. They both played their hits while mixing in some new songs. They both were really good at playing the crowd.

During the second song during the Gin Blossom set, the lead singer said “I’m not sure if we’ll get in trouble for this but, this is a rock show and there is plenty of room in front of the stage so if you guys want to come over, come on.” My mom and I went up and got about 3 roes of people from the stage. They also pointed the mic at the crowd and everyone cheered. There was a few songs where the crowd sang entire corrisses. I love when that happens.

Sugar Ray was similar but talked a lot more. He Mark (lead singer) told lots of stories and played to it being near Boston, talking about being in the area when the Bruins won it all in 2011 and told the story about the first time he played in Boston. It was 1995 at Mama Kin’s (Stephen Tylor’s club) and opened up for Korn. Another story was before the last song, he talked about being thankful for all the men and women who are serving for our country, for our freedom. He said this song was written for all them. … It was the song “I just want to fly”. Humble, the lead singer Mark was the most humble, thankful musician I ever heard to voice his thoughts. After almost every other song he would either tell us how thankful he is that we came out to see them. How he wouldn’t have came out in the snow to see him. How he couldn’t imagine having a number one hit and talked about how amazing it must be to be (named a bunch of groups who have lots of #1 hits) and of course, mentioned Aerosmith to which the crowd went crazy. He was also funny and poking fun of himself.

If you get the chance to see either of these groups, go, go and enjoy.

Karen

I’m not sure what to say. When she’s not in my life, I feel like something’s missing. I don’t smile as much, I feel like I’m just going through the motion of my every day with no future to look towards. My life just seems a bit gloomier, negative, and pessimistic. “Whatever” and just hold in all my negative thoughts.

When she’s in my life, I feel good about myself and life. Like nothing matters, not as many thing bother me. When I hear from her, when I receive a return text, I smile, when she calls me, I feel like a teenage boy with his crush calling. She gives me butterflies. We laugh, and joke around. We understand each other. We never ever said to each other “I don’t know what you mean?” It’s amazing. All this and she is smart, caring…to a fault and in my mind, she is beautiful and her voice is that of an angel. I love it. I love her.

She had a couple of job interviews on Friday. She had called me about 11AM when she left the first one. It was very positive and got a second interview scheduled for next week. We chatted for about an hour or so. It was the 3rd day in a row we chatting on the phone. I was having issues with my parents the last few days and told her all about it. She told me that I could send her a text or email or call if I needed. I thanked her and told her that I love her. She said that she loves me too. Although I learned how easy people toss that word around and although she had told me before she doesn’t take the word lightly and doesn’t say it to many people, I’m still skeptical but when she says it back to me, it makes my heart skip a beat every time.

I had told her in January (?) that I want to visit her in August. She said that she would like that. I mentioned it again on Friday. I could once again, hear the grin on her face when she said that she would like that too. Previously when we talked about it, I mentioned seeing her in Indianapolis, where her parents and brother’s family live. She doesn’t get to see them often. She had said that she could make that work. When she mentioned about the interview for a job, I had said “and hopefully you’ll be able to get some time off? Maybe like a Friday and Monday and I can come see you from a Friday morning till a Monday afternoon. She said that she would love that.

I could write about some of the more normal things we talked about this week but it would be boring. Lol such as, me telling her about me working out and she told me about how the previous weekend she walked 8 miles one day and biked 16 the following and her legs are still numb. There was something that happened to me that from the outside, is very funny but from me, is very embarrassing. So although I told her, I don't feel like writing it here.

I’m sorry. I love her.

Alcatraz is really neat! When I went there a few years ago, I didn't pre-book a ticket (they only let a certain number of people on the island each day which I didn't know) so my friend and I had to get in the same day ticket line pretty early, like around six am, and wait in a long line for about two hours hoping that there would be extra tickets for the day. Luckily there were, but I would recommend pre-booking if you're able and you haven't already.

That's a good idea copying down all the lessons so you can refer back to them later on! When I was going to school for photography I wrote down the book list for every class for the full degree and when I get the time and money I'm going to buy them all and use those to expand my skills. Just the photography ones though, not the basic courses.

Glad the concert was fun!

Don't apologize for loving her. You can't help what your heart wants. Just wish that she would do the right thing and dump the douche so she can be with you. I'm hoping though, that visiting her again won't turn into last time.

And you went to the concert without me?! Aaaah! Gin Blossoms and Sugar Ray!

I've always wanted to go to SF and see Alcatraz. I'm a bit of a history goober. I'm pretty good with school too, though only i it is writing type classes or anything child development related. Math and I just don't get along.

It's okay you love Karen; one can never control their heart.
ryc: I honestly don't know how he has had a girlfriend EVER. He's been with this one for 3 years even! He has no goals in life but to play games and to work at a job he barely was hired for. Baseball is MUCH different than video games too!

sounds like a great concert. You never have to apologize for loving her. ever. Just keep hoping and praying that she wakes up and realizes that her boyfriend is not who she needs
