SATs vs. PSATs

01/11/2010

begin.

I took my SATs in 7th grade through Johns Hopkins. It was a special little "oh hey you're smart do this do this do this" kind of thing. So I paid my money and took it 1/27/07. I got my results later that year, which I just recently came across again--

Math: 580
Crit. Reading: 590
Writing: 510
Multiple Choice: 46 (out of 80)
Essay: 4 (out of 12, hahaha)

10/14/09 I took the PSAT (my high school does it for all sophomores). I got the scores back earlier this month. Here they are:

Crit. Reading: 72
Math: 71
Writing: 61

So yeah. If I take the NMSQT (Natl. Merit Scholar Qualification Test, exact same test as the PSAT) next year, maybe I can get a kickass scholarship.

end.

I think all schools have the PSAT's. I think my high school gives it to all Junors.

Actually, from what I hear they are pretty new. Colleges still don't really consider Writing scores since they haven't evened out yet.
