Sex

I've always been nonchalant about sex - telling others that losing your virginity isn't a big deal and such. But lately I've begun to feel different. I'm still not over my first lover. Whenever I think about him, my heart starts to pound and I imagine the life we had together. I've been seeing other guys lately and although they are nice and everything, I just don't feel the same way about them as I did with him. I don't fantasize about sleeping with them. They're just..there.

Maybe this whole "getting attached to your first time" thing is real..

It is until you realize that there is a reason it didn't work out. Once you find someone that you're more connected to, you'll realize it.

agreeing with the first commenter - plus losing your virginity is a big deal - normally to most women it kidna hits the soft spot even if it hasnt to some, but in the future, or that moment...

eventually it becomes a big deal to someone when they lose their virginity. even if it's years down the road. everyone is different :]

I never had a first lover my first time. To me, sex was sex. I wanted the nasty, I got the nasty, I moved on with life. The first guy I had sex with we stated before we did anything that it was just for the pleasure of sex, not because we wanted a relationship or because we wanted to fall in love. It was all carnal. I liked it. Since then I have had sex with guys who said "yes, I want a relationship" but all they wanted was sex and I went in thinking the other way. I have no problem with having sex just for sex. I have a problem when I'm told it's for a relationship and it's just for sex, or when I'm told it's just for sex and it's for a relationship. I tell it the way I want it to be. And sometimes the partner isn't always on the same playing field. But I don't believe it always has to be for love, and it doesn't have to be a big deal.

I dont think its about being the first, its about being in love

LOLMaybe this whole "getting attached to your first time" thing is real.. I believe that it is real as I have felt it, too, and even feel it still sometimes -.-" But then I think WHY the relationship never worked out and one needs to accept it + focus on their current relationships! =) Like, at the moment, I have such a nice boyfriend and I don't want to ruin that relationship by constantly thinking about + wishing for a continuation with someone who hadn't worked out.

Don't Take Life Too Seriously

i lost my virginity to a guy i wasn't really into. i think you just get attached to people that are more compatible to yourself, virginity isn't always a factor.

I dunno. I didn't get attached to my first time - but very attached to my first love - even years on. Maybe the issue of whether you actually loved your first time can confuse things.

I think it depends how you feel about that person. Maybe that person was your first love.

Yeah it definitely is, and losing your virginity is definitely a big deal.

I'm currently with the guy I lost my virginity to when I was 14 years old (2004). We got back together 4 years later (March 2008)... We saw each other 2 different times through those 4 years and each time I felt the same way and I was married at the time. I would have to say after not seeing him for 4 years and then stumbling across him, it felt as though we'd never parted. We got back together and connected really well. We've not been together 3 years and have 2 children of our own. I don't think you really ever forget your first "love" or "person you lose it to"

He was also my 1st real love.

An ex is NORMALLY an ex for a reason, some cases are different but you might just be missing the good times and forgetting about the reason that it didnt work out. Sometimes its hard to get over an ex but in the end its normally for the better.
