all i want to do..

Woot, an update

Can't say it's going to be an exciting one though, haha. Today was my third day of training at Cheesecake Factory..and they completely changed my schedule for this week. I was originally scheduled for today at 5:00 pm, tomorrow at 10:30 am, Friday at 9:30 am and Saturday at 10:30 am, but apparently they scheduled me with nobody to train me sooo..haha. I ended up working today at 10:00 am, and then I work Friday and Saturday at 5:00 pm. My second day of training on Monday went really good, I love training with Hanna. She's so informative and really boosts my confidence. I wish I had her all the time

Today was just..ugh. My trainer Veronica was nice and all, and was an alright trainer, but I just felt so overwhelmed. It's hard when they just throw me right in there to start doing tickets when I don't know much or I forget something. Not to mention there's this stupid ~~bitch~~ server there that just stands there waiting for her order and has the most annoyed look on her face. We got a little busy at one point and I was working on something else, and I guess she was waiting on a Godiva Brownie Sundae, and Veronica was working on it but the server kept yelling "I NEED THAT SUNDAE, THEY ARE IN A RUSH..14 MINUTES FOR A SUNDAE C'MON!! I NEED IT NOWWW!" And just kept sighing. I wanted nothing more than to turn around and throw a cheesecake in her face and tell her to make her own gosh damn sundae. I mean, honestly, do you really think yelling at us is going to make a difference? Because let me tell ya, I didn't even acknowledge her when she was yelling. *shrug*

I dunno, it was only a 5 hour shift but it felt like the longest day of my life. I'm nervous about working on Friday and Saturday at 5:00, I can't even imagine how busy it's going to be..lucky me. I'm supposed to take my "final" on Saturday too..haha. I hope I pass..cause' so far I feel so lost! Argh!

is trade this life for something new..

I went to The Coffee Bean today to pick up my check, and Jenn, Elvira (supervisor), and two new people were there. I was so happy to see Jenn, and she looked like she needed a hug. It was pretty busy and I could tell she was frustrated and annoyed with the new girl, Heather. You know how when you first see somebody you automatically can sense that they're a bitch? That's the feeling I got from Heather. Anyway, I just stood by the bar waiting for my drink and talking to Jenn. She was like, "You're not in a rush, are you? Cause' your drink is going to take a while.." Haha. I guess Heather had messed up the drinks before mine, so Jenn had to remake them. Then when I got my drink, I waited another 5 minutes so I could steal a hug from Jenn

She really makes my day. It's hard to find friends who can make everything better within one glance, and Jenn does that for me. It put a great start to my day, even if it didn't go so smoothly at work. She called me later and we talked for 15 minutes or so, just about work and life in general. I just want to steal her and have her work at my new job! I would LOVE that, haha.

I can't believe school starts in less than two weeks! I'm excited but nervous, haha. I'm going to message my availability to my Bakery manager at work and let them know I want to work Thursday-Sunday, and then for my 5th day I'll just pick up a shift since there's always one to pick up.

Anyway, I think that's all I have to update on. I'm off to take a long shower and snuggle in bed with Chloe to watch a new episode of Criminal Minds! Woot! I'll leave you guys with a survey

How awesome is it that you work at the cheesecake factory though? We don't even have one around here but when you hear someone say "I wanted nothing more than to turn around and throw a cheesecake in her face" you know that place has got to be great XD

School starts in 10 days for me and after the ridiculously stressful last semester I am surely NOT looking forward to it!

i have a four hour internship i have to do two days a week and sometimes that feels like the longest day of my life too. lets hope you have some shifts that go by quicker than the 5 hour one you had.

ryc ;; the snow missed us by a lot which was nice. we only had about an inch of snow :] traveling wasn't bad because the school had a 2 hour delay. i was pretty happy about it. :]

RYC: I agree with you completely. Tyler's the one that wants to be single because he doesn't know what he wants - he pulls this bullshit every 6 months. Last June, we broke up for a month because he just didn't know. I think we'll be fine as long as we don't hang out, & I don't plan on hanging out with him unless it's with his family. I'm just so sick of him controlling me when he doesn't even want to control me. I want to have fun.

I about cried when that girl came out, too. That's cool that he stayed with her because that'd be hard to do. A steel door fell onto my ex-fiance (LONG story) & they were pretty sure he had brain damage because it broke his cheek bone & they weren't sure how deep it went. To mentally prepare yourself to deal with something like that was hard enough. Thankfully, he was okay.

That server girl needs to get a life! She needs to think back to when she was training and realize she wasn't fast or perfect back then. She'll get over and you'll catch on in no time. I felt the same way when I transferred jobs. When I had a good trainer I felt confident, but when I had one who I wasn't so sure about I felt clueless. You're a smart girl though so I know you'll do good. I love friends like that as well.
