40 Today

06/06/2014

I turn 40 today.  My birthday is D-Day.  It's the 70th anniversary of D-Day (in World War II), but most people know this day more as Donut Day, or National Donut Day (as I am finding out on social media.)

All I can say is I would have never imagined that I would still be "in the desert" at 40.  That's explained more in-depth at - http://stanzo.blogspot.com/2014/06/40-years.html

I am thankful to God that I am at a better place than a few months ago.  God pulled me out of some very tough circumstances and it's not the first time He's done it.  (He has also taught me to do what I can, and let go and leave it to Him in the areas not in my control.)

Random thought that I am thankful about.  Whenever one of my doctor's office hires a new staffer, they would always look at my birth date in disbelief and ask me twice to verify my date of birth (specifically, the year of birth 1974).  I am blessed by God that I still look like I am in my twenties.  One of my students in the past even said jokingly I look 17 (and the whole class laughed), but I think that's overexaggeration.  I am blessed that God has given me the knowledge in nutrition, exercise science, as well as mind-body practices to keep my state of youth.  This is reflected in my blood report too, by the way.  My annual blood report is better than even most twenty year olds.

So, I will end this entry by saying, I am 40 and I am grateful.

Also, I would like to quote a wise and famous young lady, "I don't know about you, but I'm feeling 22."

RyC: Thank you. I did put in my 2 weeks notice because my job was an unhealthy situation and I needed out. They just decided to make it effectively.

And I am taking Lortabs because I have an abscessed tooth.

Yes, it is a great thing I am done with this company. It was such an unhealthy situation for everyone to be in, and the bosses know and don't care.

Yes, the pain was that bad. I was taking Ibuprofen, and it was not helping at all. And it said not to take more than 6 in 24 hours, but I hit that max. I stopped taking the Lortabs yesterday, because my Anti-biotics finally kicked in and helped take some of the pain away. I am getting the tooth pulled today. I was trying 1/2 of a lortab and 2 ibuprofen, but that wasnt doing anything. Booo. And I know they are addictive, but I was not even getting a high feeling from them and was still in pain. I know I personally would not become addicted.

Its feeling better and no I didnt finish it. I got all kinds of messed up with drama of when I am having the tooth pull, but I never finish anti-bioics as i should. I am getting it taken out next week and have to take 4 (2000 mg, yes for real) anti-biotics before any dentist appts and I took 4 of them on Thursday. I figured it was enough for yesterday. lol. But its feeling a lot better.
