679 New years work issues and SF 01 10 15

Wow, I just looked at my entries and realized I haven’t written an update since last year. Hope I don’t lose everyone. Not sure how long this will be.

New years celebration
I was going to spend it with my college roomy Jeffrey and his little family. He has twin girls that are 9 years old. One of the girls was having an operation on her foot on Dec 30th in Boston so if my dad could drop me off at the hospital, they would drive me to-from.
Hmm I don’t really remember much about the 30th, it sorta blended in with the following day as we did similar things on the two days. I know we went food shopping. The kids and I had chicken nuggets and pasta for dinner with salad and the adults, I mean, Jeff and his wife Alicen had chicken palm with pasta and salad.

We played lots of board games, some trivia game that was adults vs kids. We watched some intervention show with “the nanny” who I thought they meant Fran dressher but it was some English Nanny. I think we watched about 6 or so epasodes of that along with a bunch of epasodes of some show that was on some animal channel. It was a lot of boring time. But the fun times, playing the games with the kids,, was fun. It was also nice to see how well mannered the girls were, for the most part. I do got to say, even though I visit them like once a year and they call me uncle Jonnie, (which, they call all of Jeff-Alicen’s friends uncles-aunts, not just the very close ones, and I thought I was special…)

On New Years eve day, one of Alicen’s younger cousins, (who is also a twin) came over with her 3 year old during the day for a few hours. I sat on the couch pretending to be watching the TV. Alicen’s cousin who I’m guessing is in her early-mid 20’s, has the voice of a little girl. Her daughter’s voice sounds similar. When she had left, it was time to get ready, their friend Erin and Chris were coming over with her two boys who were a little older than the girls. I’d say they are 10 and 12. Jeffrey was going to do a BBQ even though it was like 20 degrees out. Hmm (we had prepped the night before. I shaped the turkey burgers, cut onions and peppers, and other things for various dishes)
Chris put hockey on. He’s a big fan. It’s last on my list of the big 4 but I kknow a few players but I wasn’t interested in the game or in the conversation he was having with Jeffrey. Jeffrey asked me to go outside while he grills. I was numb from staying out there so long but it was nice to have some alone time with my buddy. Not that we talked about anything important, it was still nice.
We ate, then played scattaglories in teams. That was a lot of fun. It’s different from when I was a kid but still fun. We played 3 rounds of it. Chris, what ever he does for work, was going to be on call as of 2AM, so at 10:30 they left so he could get a few hours of sleep. After Jeffrey cleaned up. Jeffrey and the twins and I played million dollar Monopoly. It was a little different, more interactive. So in some ways, it was a lot more fun but in others, it was stupid and involved a lot more abilities. Even so, we had lots of fun. At 11:55 we stopped, woke Alicen up, did the count down. I called my parents, an on line friend and sent Karen a voice message. Which, she never did egknowledge now that I think of it. … We went back to the game and at 1AM the girls called it quits, they wanted to go to sleep. Jeffrey and I took about a half second and declared one of the girls the winner. She was the only one with a monopoly and she had some money so it would only be a matter of time.

New years day, we got up and every one got ready, I was the first one to get ready and here I thought I was the last to take a shower. Some of them weren’t even up yet. We left about noon ish. Went for Chinese food and then they dropped me off.

I chose to go to work on this day as it was my normal day to work anyways.
***
ok this started about a month ago. My supervisor came to me and said she wants me to be able to do billable notes. She said to me, which I never knew and for a split sec, pissed me off, everything I ever did at the group home, is worth nothing. All the groups, interventions, 1-on-1's, etc, was worthless because the company cant bill for what I do. My supervisor pushed for a few extra hours for me so I can do billable notes at work. (which, I've been asking for more hours since I got there with no success) So she got me 2 HRS more but I have to work for them and something I'd want to do anyways and actually, aniciated at one point to do billable notes but since I couldn't get on the company's computer or network, it went nowhere.

My supervisor, AM. the company's IT ppl we'll call him ITA.
my social worker from the commission of the blind. SW. and the tec person for the commission of the blind TEC and the IT person from the commission ITB

AM talked to ITA to see how we can make this to get me to be able to use the company's network.
AM asked me to ccall ITA and gave me his number.
I called ITA and told him about the commission of the blind and told him what they can offer.
ITA asked me to call the Commission to figure out what can be done on the commission's side.
I call SW and she told me he would have TEC contact me
After some time, he did not and I called SW and told her.
*SW emailed myself and TEC saying that TEC tried to call me and could not get in touch with me. here's his number and email, contact him on Monday.
I contacted TEC 3 times on the phone, 2 times it was his voice mail, once it was his cel phone and he said he was on the road, to call him Monday when he's in office. (this was 2 weeks ago. ) I emailed him at least 3 times, hmm more like 6 since I emailed him twice this week.
Thursday, at staff meeting at work, AM asked what's going on with the program. I told her the situation, how I keep getting voice mails and non-responded emails. She told me to keep on it, call every day if I had to.
I sent SW an email while sitting in staff meeting, asking if she can call TEC and have him call me since my attempts have not been returned.
*I got an email from TEC Friday morning, saying ITB tried calling me and could not reach me. here is his number and email, call him on Monday and email him dates, he wants to know dates where he can come out and evaluate the company's network.

ok, so AM works Sun-Thurs, I have to wait till Sun to talk to her, she'll prob tell me to contact ITA and then ITA is going to ask me to talk to ITB. I'm going to be the constant middle man with days going by. All the while, AM will be asking me if I heard from (fill in blank) Reminding me they are paying me for the extra hours and that I’m getting the training to write these notes. (3 dates of training, each 2 weeks apart, started with this past Tuesday)

Later Friday afternoon, I got an email from SW, forwarding my email to TEC with me on the CC, asking him to contact me. ... I wanted to scream at this point, I tried to email TEC. I wanted her to pick up the phone and call him since he not checking his email or maybe he's just sitting there playing on his Iphone, drinking coffee, sitting on my emails.

and you noted of my "*"'s? saying they tried to contact me a few times. really? you tried to call my number? that's funny, my phone hasn't wrang. don't tell me you tried to call my number when you didn't. that's making me look like a liar. pissed me off.

This could all be avoided if there was no red tape, there was no HIPA and a need for evaluations and whatever else. I could just take my screen reading program, install it into the company's computer and I could have been on this 4 weeks ago and my company could be getting paid for me doing billable notes. It could also have been done quicker if people actually returned phone calls and emails.

I decided that I’ll get the IT of my company’s email address, I have everyone else’s, write a nice email, introducing everyone and saying ok, now I don’t have to be the middle man, you guys can figure it out and keep me on the email so I know what’s going on. SO, we’ll see what happens with that.

POEM POEM POEM

Thank you and you and you and thank you for all your amazing, enspiring comments on my poems. I greatly appreciate them all.

If nothing else comes up, I’ll post a few of my old poems probably Monday.
I’ve pondered posting my table of contents. It’s not complete to what I want but it has all my poem numbered and titles in no order beyond how they are in my MSW document. The incomplete parts are the number of lines for each poem and the dates I wrote them.

SAN FRANCISCO UPDATE!!!

Sun, dec 28th flights

Lisa and I kept looking at flights for different carriers and different websites. I concluded for her the best would be south west and me, jetblue. (I’m not flying 6 hrs without a TV) So after much discussion and trying to line up the time to be at least a few hours within each other on both sides, I finally called her and she got on her computer and we hammored it all out .
We’re somehow, arriving at the same time, 12:30 on Saturday, May 9th and leaving Wednesday morning, her 6:30 AM and me 7:30 AM. This gives us 3.5 solid days to cause trouble around the bay.

Tues, Dec 30th, hotel

My father has a very close friend who is an accountant, and odit’s federal banks. He has a Holiday Inn reward card with over 1 MILLION points. He always says that if my parents want to get away and don’t mind staying at a Holiday in, he’ll take care of it. Through his generocity over the last few years, I stayed in MN and HOU under his name. So I asked my dad if he could ask him if his friend could book a room. The guy said no problem, he’s happy to do it for me just give him the hotel and dates and he’ll boopoem

After much research, including a phone call, I chose a Holiday Inn that was 12 miles from SF but is the only one in the SF area that has free parking. We want to go to Oakland and to drive to meet up with one of her friends for lunch so we’ll need a car. The other Holiday Inns starting rate for parking was $30 a night. That’s crazy to me.

I sent my Dad an email, after talking it over with Lisa, and giving him the dates and specific location. The next day I received a forwarded confirmation email. YAY!

I know Lisa really doesn’t have much money, (as evidence by the next sectiond) so I have decided that I’m going to rent a car-pay for it and tell her it’s under my Dad’s account. Which, it will be, he’s getting me a discount through the city he works for but I’ll put it on my credit card and tell Lisa that I’ll get reimbursed but I really wont.

What to do what to do in San Francisco?

We (meaning I) figured out that we’re going to a Giants game on Sunday (STADIUM #25!) and the Athletic game on Monday night (STADIUM #26!( . I don’t care what else we do. Whatever Lisa wants to do, I’m game for.

She wants to go to a butterfly center. She says although there’s one in Dallas, her husband wont go with her. I know she would love it so I will totally go with her.

There is a famous pier, Pier 39, that is like a waterfront shopping-eating center that over looks the bay. At this Pier 39, you can feed Sea Lion and other sea creatures. She want to do that too.

Lisa is a low-key, T and shorts type girl. When home, she mostly just wears sweatpants. When she goes out, hmm let me say this, I think she wore a dress only 6 times in her life.

So when Lisa says she found a dress that she liked and even tried it on and it fit her, she thought, what am I going to do with it? Not like I go anywhere special with Matt (her Husband). Then she thought… I can take it with me to SF and go out somewhere nice in SF with Jonathan. She has a tie that matches it too. She asked me for my shirt size and then told me all this. After matching the tie up to one of Matt’s white dress shirts, she said that I just need to bring a white dress shirt. So a white dress shirt, black pants and shoes… yay I’ll get to be a dancing prince again for one more night. At the time of writing this, a few days later, she still hasn’t gone back to buy the dress. However, for $10 she bought these black shoes with sparkles. Oo I like sparkles.

L: They have heels so I’ll be even more taller than you but you better hold onto my arm tight, just in case I start to fall.
J: hmm I better be looking up the entire time, or else if I look even slightly down, I’ll be staring at your boobs.
She laughed.

She also wants to go to a Jazz Bar on the night we’re dressed up. I’m definitely ok with that. Relaxing on a nice chair with a drink in my hand and then dancing with a pretty lady on my arm.

She had mentioned that she wants salmon one night since she cant get good sammon in Texas. I found a few nice places for Salmon that also has steak on the menu for me. I showed Lisa the menus and she totally backed away because of the prices. She said that we could just take a sheet from the hotel, and put it on a table at McDonalds and the price with be 1/10th of the other places. I was sad-disappointed at that response. I want to take her to a nice restaurant. We’re going to be all dressed up to the night. She said, we can just walk along the pier and find a place that has deals. I’m not crazy about this idea but ok.
I am, though, very excited about getting dressed up with Lisa in a dress looking beautiful.

And one more thing she wants to do while we’re in San Francisco…get me drunk

I have to get baseball tickets and rent a car and we’ll be all set. Is it May yet?

I love that most of this you've already told me but it also stinks because I'm reading now and you already know what I've said in response. But I will reiterate that what your job is making you deal with is absolute bull crap and I'm excited for your snazzy trip and all the crazy things you get to do!

Thank you. I hope I can leave some of the anger here as well. I have a lot of it from everything we had went through. You will know more as I continue writing on bloop.
