FMCs and Baby Dinosaurs
SUNDAY
27th April 2014, 12.23 AM.

Hahaha, look at the time! I should be sleeping right now, my thoughts are probably incoherent but nope, I'm here, it's nice to see you, reader! I have the urge to type rubbish but I have the feeling that won't get me nothing positive.

Too right, it won't.

Shut up, you. I can't believe you're still here. Anyway, I haven't been here for some time now and I kind of feel wasted for no reason. Haha, I've got no life! <Night Star, please don't make a fool of yourself...> ((Yeah, yeah, whatever)) Just kidding. I have a life.

So. Last Friday, we had another FMC at Abric. What does FMC stand for? It stands for Friday Mosque Collection. It's when all of us students are sent in small groups to every mosque in Singapore to collect donations. Y'know, just stand there with a container in our hands and smile and say "Thank you" to people who kindly donate notes and coins and basically money to us as they enter the mosque. Last Friday was the second, and probably the last, FMC event for this year. The first FMC was held maybe a couple of months ago and it was also my first time participating in it. You see, back at Shard, only the Secondaries were allowed to participate in the FMC but in Abric, both the Primaries and the Secondaries are were welcome to participate (past tense 'cause Primaries exist no more in Abric...it's just a Secondary school now). Actually, it's compulsory so it wasn't like we had a choice in the matter. ((I'm really tempted to type in a Bostonian/Australian/Texan accent right now...)) <Shut up and keep typing. You suck at accents, anyway.>

The first time I participated for FMC, I was kind of nervous. My group consisted of four people, namely Nibbles, Rigger, Baby Dinosaur, and I. Baby Dinosaur is one of my seniors from Secondary 4 and he's a guy, one of the nicest I've ever met, if I may say so. Uh...the nickname is what General Potato, Commander Nose, and I call him. I'll explain those two other people later. Anyway, we were assigned to Masjid Sultan, much to my surprise and pleasure. Ever heard of it? It's one of the popular tourist attractions in Singapore, since it's one of the largest and oldest mosques in mein country. There are four entrances there, which suited us fine - one for each of us. However, we mistakenly thought that there were three and since I was nervous (it was my first time participating, remember?), Baby Dinosaur agreed to accompany me. We chatted about small stuff, mainly about why I had applied for Abric, whether I enjoyed myself at Abric or not, etc. I suppose it was to satiate natural curiosity. At any rate, it was a normal conversation and I was glad to have had it because standing in the heat of little Singapore for a couple of hours can be pretty boring and uncomfortable after the first 20-30 minutes. Talking helped to pass the time, though we didn't talk all the time. Only when needed and only when bored. No. Other. Reason. See what I'm trying to imply here?

It was an interesting experience, I'll say that. I spotted a lot of Wave Town students too, and about a couple of my old Shard schoolmates who had switched over to Wave Town. All of them were guys, obviously, 'cause it was Friday and girls usually don't go to mosques at noon on Fridays 'cause of Friday prayers. There ain't space most of the time but I think some mosques do have a little bit of space for the girls on Fridays.

Last Friday, I was assigned to another group. There was only two of us, actually. My partner was from Secondary 2, let's call her Leopard Glasses, shall we? :3 Anyway, we got assigned to a mosque called Masjid Omar Salamah, if I'm not mistaken. I have no idea where it's located but I definitely had never been there before. Well, up until last Friday. It looked somewhat like a countryside, though you could see tall buildings in the distance. It was rather near that place where you ride on horses and do something called "polo" (hey, don't judge me, it's nighttime right now and my brain's kinda muddled), along with some mansions and also MediaCorp headquarters. It was pretty cool. In fact, Leopard Glasses even spotted a Malay actor/comedian! She said that she had seen him on Suria before. Suria is a Malay channel where a lot of melodramatic dramas which are basically the same but somehow seem different are aired. There have been a few shows that weren't so bad, though. Like Khayalan (ooh, that one was awesome), which roughly means "daydream". Or Makcik K-Pop (K-Pop Aunties). Oh! Oh! Or Nenekku SuperSpy (My Grandmother is a Superspy)! That was really cool! <Night Star, quit rambling and get on with the program. I wanna sleeeeep.> ((Oh, shut your whining.))

I'm going to stop talking about FMC now. Hey, remember Baby Dinosaur? I've often wondered why he's not a prefect. I mean, he would make a better prefect than any of those other seniors (no offence, guys). He's nice, he's polite, he really should be a prefect! I asked him about it and he told me that he was actually interviewed once but they didn't choose him in the end. I was like, "What?!" and he just smiled and said, "Never mind, don't worry about it." (Or something like that) I was going to add more, I wanted to say that he should have been one, that he was nicer than any of the other guys but I clamped my mouth shut and turned away.

Why? Well, if I had said any of that, it may have been taken the wrong way and as I have repeatedly said in my life: "I have no love interest. Yet." I am way too young for anything, nuh-uh, nope, nein, non, no way, buster. That ain't gonna appen at the tender age of-uh, I mean, that ain't gonna happen in this early stage of my life ^_^"

...You just totally almost spilled the beans, pally.

Oh, shut up, they know it already, idiot.

Can we just go and get to sleep now? I don't care if we have only 2 hours left before 4 o'clock, I WANNA SLEEEE-

Shut up, you imbecile.

-EEEEeeee....p.

Oh! I just remembered about General Potato and Commander Nose. Sorry, maybe I'll explain later, in the next entry, perhaps.

I'm sorry if this entry has been really boring and unbeneficial for you, dear reader. On the other hand, if you are open-minded, and don't mind reading about the things my school organises and a learn a tiny bit more of my religion, you're welcome.

Gah, I gotta go sleep now. It's 1.36 AM! I spent like 1 hour and 10 minutes on one frickin' entry! *Faceplant*

Thanks for reading!

Maybe it's telling you to get some shut-eye.

If you want to get some shut-eye, I would suggest you shut up first!

...Whatever you say, boss. Anyway, the problem's just been fixed so go post this thing and sleep, dammit!
