I’m sorry Rob, when you leave tomorrow we’ll both have two separate lives to live.” She stood up, kissed him and walked into the camper. She laid on the bed, trying to sleep but just couldn’t.
Rob sat outside, lit another cigarette when Johnny walked out the door. Johnny lit up a smoke too and sat on the porch, across from Rob and nodded.
“Everything ok?”
“Yeah.” Rob lied.
“Thressa’s zonked… I heard talking, thought I’d come out.”
“Oh… Did you hear us…?”
“Doing it?” He nodded, “yeah.” They laughed together.
“Bina’s gonna love that…” and knew she probably would and be proud of herself. He smiled but it quickly changed to a frown thinking of how she turned him down.
“So… You’re leaving tomorrow?”
“Yeah, gotta be back on set.” He sighed.
“Try not to worry man, just keep coming back, eventually she’ll let you in.”
“Huh?”
“Thressa and Bina are best friends, so what Thressa knows about Bina, I know too. She’s afraid and this is what she does, she pushes away the people she loves when she’s scared.”
“She loves me?” Rob asked, confused.
“I know you’re young but you’re not that stupid are you?” Johnny laughed. “She loves me too” he gloated. Rob laughed this time and felt he could talk easier. “But she’s right, Thressa would indeed kill her if she moved to Cali with you.” He took a long drag off his smoke.
“So what should I do?”
“That, I don’t know. Just don’t give in to her games. And just so you know, Thressa and I… we can see you’re in love with her too.” Johnny got up and walked back into the house. Rob rolled his neck and stood up, walking back into the camper.
He couldn’t help but wonder if Johnny was right, was he really in love with her? But they did just have sex and not use a condom… He flew here for two days just to go back to LA… He had asked her to move across the states for him… Yup, he was pretty sure he was in love with Sabrina. He walked in and found her laying on the bed, her eyes closed. Ok, so he knew he was in love with her but the real question is what to do with the knowledge he had. He was indeed leaving in the morning, he had a movie to finish but after that, he didn’t know.
Would he let her go as she asked or would he come back and make her see it could work…
