I’ve felt the pain of seeing you with another, a pain that makes me think just so,
Of the life that we would live together, not too long ago.
I hope he calls you beautiful, I hope he gives you flowers,
I hope he gives you all his love, and talks to you for hours.
I hope you’ll never forget me, though I understand if you so choose.
I know that love isn’t quite like buying a pair of shoes.
Don’t worry about me, I’ll take the pain of living day to day.
I just wish that I could love you, and not feel pushed away.
I promise I’ll start eating, and I promise I’ll be good.
I promise I’ll survive, and act the way I should.
Just please never think you’re at fault, or blame yourself for this.
We both did wrong, we’re both hurt, but you’re the one that I miss.
The price for loving you is steep, but I still choose to pay.
Because I still want to be with you, each and every day.
Wake by you each morning, fall asleep with you each night,
Give you the love and help you need, no matter how hard you fight.
My love for you is lasting, and God made it to be true.
God put this crazy love into my heart, a love that’s only for you.
