So I had off on Tuesday. After Russ was finished with work, we drove down to his mom's place. On the way there, he mentioned something like 'oh i have to change the oil before we leave.' 'leave for where?' '..Georgia..' and he was looking at me like i had three heads. It was weird, because the night before I had told him that my mom still wanted me to go up there. And he said 'ok.' So apparently the plan all along since he couldn't get vacation was that we were still going up for the weekend. Just not a whole week. I was unaware of this plan. So I guess I am no longer at an impass lol. And I'm so excited to go visit my mom and step-dad!!

So anyway on Tuesday we head down to Russ' mom's who lives in Boca about 45 minutes south. Chill for a bit and head to Red Robin. Now for YEARS I've been enduring Red Robin commercials on the tv. YEARS! Since I was little. Granted for the last 7 years we haven't had TV, but any time we are near one, a commercial comes on. I'm talking almost three decades of hearing "Redddd Robin.. YUMMM!" And there has NEVER been a Red Robin close to where we live. The closest one was about an hour away. So I have never been to a Red Robin. One just happen to finally open near us. But Russ' mom doesn't like to drive so we picked her up, drove all the way to Red Robin, then took her home, then went back home. We were in the car a LOT on Tuesday.

So Red Robin was pretty good. I had the Shroom burger. I can't remember the name of it, but it was mushrooms, parmesan, swiss, and garlic. A little salty, but pretty delicious. Mushrooms are my favorite food EVER! We had some onion rings, and I left with a mint brownie shake. So my first trip to Red Robin went well. lol. Except, my stomach has been a little wonky since then. So I dunno if it's related, but it makes me a bit sad. Oh well, i'll still go back. Eventually. They are going to open one up even closer to us before the end of the year in the new outlet mall, so i'm sure we'll be going back again more sooner than later.

that was Tuesday. What's today? oh yeh! Wednesday. (Days get mushy sometimes) I had a random opening shift in the pharmbox today. 9-1:30. It was just Robin, Ram, and I. Not a bad morning at all. I would take a morning shift any day! Closing sucks! But staying up late and sleeping in make up for the suckiness a little bit. At least enough to keep me somewhat sane. But morning shift's a breeze! During work, I get a text from Kelly, my friend/boss that co-runs the DJ company. She wants me to help her out tonight and tomorrow with Trivia to get me back up to speed so I can take over for a Trivia night at Renegades on the 18th. So I went to the Gardens Ale House tonight to help keep score.

Now, we used to be regular trivia players at that Ale House. Every Wednesday. So I knew a lot of those teams. Some were our arch nemesis. It was fun to be on the other side. Kelly's nice when it comes to scoring. "oh they're behind? give them 10 more points." I told her she's too nice and I'm mean. I used to play trivia. It's cutthroat. You can't be giving people extra points. If I found out someone beat me because they were given points, i'd be miffed. lol She was accepting random answers. Like "What character did JTT (Jonathon Taylor Thomas) voice in a Disney Movie?" (not the exact words, but the same question) The answer was Simba, but a team turned in Lion King and she gave them credit. Oh the humanity! lol! Anywho, Gardens Ale House has like twenty teams, and it's a LOT of work. I don't know how she usually does it alone.

Tomorrow I'm going to help her out at the Crazy Horse hosting a couple rounds. Getting back into my Trivia groove. I'm used to hosing Bingo nights. I used to help Kelly out at the Jupiter Ale House when I was first starting to get into DJing with their company. Then when i was told I was going to do Bingo, it was a whole new experience. Now Trivia feels new-ish. lol But I'm really excited to do a whole trivia night! I love being on the mic.

Oh! backtrack. This morning at work, I learned that our cashier, Rebecca, did not come to work yesterday. She "called out." But she used the generic Wal-Mart employee phone number. Not call us personally. And I also found out that on Monday, it wasn't a 'friend' calling out for her. It was 'a representative from Tennessee" calling because Rebecca flight was cancelled and she was freaking out in the airport.

It's so strange. So she may be fired. She was supposed to come into work today at 2. I haven't heard anything from anyone about anything. lol I guess I'll find out on Friday.

I also bought a Nook today. Russ had noticed a couple days ago at my store that it was just 45 dollars. Since my Kindle met a sad and lonely demise a couple months ago, I had been debating about getting a new E-Reader. I wasn't in a huge hurry. Money had been a little tight lately. But I noticed an awesome one at Barnes and Nobles the other day that glowed. It was so cool. And I mentioned it to Russ, and he basically told me I had to buy it. Or he would buy it for me. Because it was on sale for $99 for Father's Day and going back up to $119 next week. But when he saw the $45 one at wal-mart, he told me that if anything I had to buy that one. If I wasn't going to make a decision, he would end up just getting the glow one for me. lol.

I think he's feeling slightly guilty, because he's getting a PS4 next week. lol. he knows I don't like buying things a lot. I mean I could really care less if he wants to buy anything. He's smart with money. But he knows that I don't like to buy things so he feels guilty. lol. That's my theory.

But I bought the $45 dollar Nook. I FINALLY finished Undead Pool yesterday. (thanks to the Kindle app on my phone) So today, my first e-book for the Nook is Night Broken, the newest Mercy Thompson book by Patricia Briggs.

Kim Harrison and Patricia Briggs are amazing authors. If you like urban fantasy, check them out.

peace!

Aww yay, I'm glad you still get to go and he gets to go with you! That'll be nice.

I have never been to red robin. I, too, have been suffering through those commercials and have never gotten to go. lol Maybe one of these days. They have them near where my husband's parents live, which isn't too far from here.

I'm anxious to see if she gets fired.. I bet she does. She should anyway. She seems shady.
