Fridays are the best!!

Friday morning, 3am and I couldn't sleep, turned on the overnight news and tried to get another hour or so but i didn't happen. By 5am I was in the shower, told myself I would go to the shop early, after my shower I turned on my laptop, to check email and facebook, then my phone made a little chirp, 1 new message. Who would call before 5:30am? it was from MSW (my sweet wife) - 'are you up? May I call you?' - WTF? havent spoken to her in weeks, havent signed her divorce papers either, I knew that would be the topic. I text back, 'yes' - she called and we talked for about an hour, bottom line, she needed to "borrow 10 dollars" - she was headed out of town to help her oldest daughter pack and move, "i have new tires and a full tank of gas, but would like to have a couple bucks in my pocket, just in case." - told her to call when she got here, 10:30am she called and said she was in the parking lot. I went out and talked, checked the air pressure in tires and fluid levels, we smoked a cig, chated some more. I gave her 50 bucks and told her, 'be safe & have a good time' - she ask me if I needed a sleeping pill or two? I told her 'one would be plenty' she reached into her purse pulled out the bottle and offered me a hand full, I took 6 and gave the rest back to her, I'll sleep this week! , , she never mentioned the divorce papers, maybe I go sign them on Monday morning, , , , , , , , ,
