So we got the verdict from the insurance adjuster. They declared the truck a total loss. As in totalled. TOTALLED!!! I'm pretty sure in my last entry I was hoping the truck would be totalled so I didn't have to pay out the 1000.00 deductable and gap would cover the rest, therefor I could be done with a truck I couldn't afford anymore (340/month for payment, and 140/month full coverage insurance). But I felt such a loyalty to that truck I guess, I don't want to send it off to the junkyard... plus it's fixable. All engine parts are good, it needs a new axle, leaf springs, and rim. Which rapairs cost above the value of the vehicle. It was a 1998 Dodge Ram 1500, their payout is about 6,000. Minus the 1,000 deductable, the finance company gets about five grand, my loan had 7 grand left, and gap covers the rest. You know, all my life I wanted a full size pick up that was nice, and I got one. For less than a year. Then Daniel totalled it. I'm so mad! Not at him, just the situation...
But good news! A good friend of ours was looking for someone to take over payments on her car, 189.00 a month, it will cost 107.00 to insure, thats with 100.00 deductable. So yay for turning 25! Big discount. Plus this year my accident from 2006 doesn't really count anymore so that helped. So we got the car the 29th, two days after we wrecked. It's a 2001 Honda Civic 4 door, silver. I hate it, lol. It's so small I don't feel safe in it. But I just need to get used to it. It's cheaper on gas, payments, and insurance, so life will be easier, lol. It's a blessing in disguise, I just need to appreciate it.
Okay, enough about cars. I had my doc appt today with the one hour glucose test and I passed. That stuff just made me feel weird, it made my stomach heavy. I have another appointment in 3 weeks then I go to every two weeks. The baby is coming soon, I'm getting nrevous. Just hoping I will have all my ducks in a row by July 23rd. I'll be fine, I guess. Just getting the new baby jitters.
