8th November 2012

11/08/2012

Hello NoJoMoers. We're on day 8 - that means you've completed the first week of NoJoMo! That is quite a milestone - so make sure you do something to celebrate today! Bar of chocolate, glass of wine, huge party - whatever appeals to you!

Here are today's prompts...

8th November - NoJoMo Prompts

1. Write a letter to you 10-year-old self. Maybe you want to prepare her/him for the time ahead. Maybe you want to encourage, motivate, or warn him/her. Maybe you will identify yourself as the future adult self - or maybe your letter will be anonymous (would the 10-year-old self believe it could have been written by her/his future self?). Think about what you would really want to say to your 10-year-old self and write it.

2. Yesterday was an important day in American history - apparently the most tweeted-about event in American history (although that may have something to do with the fact that Twitter wasn't around for most of the previous events of America's history!). What do the election results mean to you personally? What are your thoughts and opinions about the election and the results? How will this affect the future of the US? Or, if you're not American and/or not interested in talking about politics, what does Twitter mean to you? Is Twitter part of your life? What are your thoughts about Twitter? Do you prefer it to Facebook?

3. "I cannot pretend to feel impartial about colours. I rejoice with the brilliant ones and am genuinely sorry for the poor browns." Sir Winston Churchill

Do you have feelings about colours? Do different colours affect your mood? Do you attribute personalities and/or feelings to colours? Do you feel sorry for 'the poor browns' - or do you like the colour brown and feel sorry for a different colour? Which colours do you like and dislike, and why? Is this reflected in the colours you wear, the colours you surround yourself with, etc? To what extent do colours influence your purchases (eg. buying a laptop because it's pink)?
