SUPERHERO TO THE GODS

A little bit of rage to spice up your life.

03/15/2010

Arghhhhhhhhh I am in such a bad mood right now, bloopies!

Over the weekend the cat has developed a love of pulling up corners of the carpet on the stairs and chewing it. I mean, wtf? And she does this ALL THE TIME SHE INSIDE. If you move her away, she will run back two seconds later and start again. IT IS DRIVING ME INSANE. Eventually, I lose my rag and put her somewhere (the conservatory or outside). She then sits next to the door and meows until I let her back in again, but within 5 minutes she is back on the stairs again. ARGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH.

My Mother is getting really angry about this too (even though it's me that keeps having to get up and stop Archie!) and she keeps going "I never wanted a bloody cat anyway BLAH BLAH BLAH". This is categorically untrue since after we lost Maisie she was the one that suggested we get a kitten!

My stupid assignments for my Masters are due in a week, and my essay is only 3/4 done, my simulations aren't running properly (and the ones that have run properly I don't understand) and I haven't done the reading for my third article at all.

ARGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH..

Typing this out actually didn't help at all. But what would help would involve knives and guns and WMDs and is illegal, so.

Have you thought about having her declawed? There are certain sprays you can buy at pet stores that are supposed to have a foul odor/taste and are supposed to keep them away. T

I know it's not very nice, but when my dog was a puppy and was naughty, we had a spray water bottle, and we squirted her when she used to dig the garden up. She soon stopped doing it!
She once found a thread in our carpet and ran up and down with it until she had unravelled a quarter of it! To be fair it was hilarious as the carpet needed replacing anyway

Cleo KEEPS climbing up the curtains and getting stuck there, yo!! Then I have to go get a chair to get her down because they are ten foot in the air. They are such little bastards!

Anyway. How old was Archie when you started letting him out on his own? Time for cat-people talk! x

Naughty kitten! I think there is spray that you can put on whatever you don't want them to claw.

Get a spray bottle or have his nails capped.

Gosh, I have totally been in a bad mood too lately. I think it is a result of evil assignments due. Now I've done mine, all my bad mood is gone.

In my old flat Treacle became obsessed with clawing away the carpet outside the bathroom (I think it started because it was the only room he wasn't allowed in.. but in the end he did it because I was yelling at him, and so he was getting my attention by doing it, which was what he wanted). It drove me crazy too. You can buy special tape that is supposed to put them off of doing it from the pet shop... or put down pepper, to make her sneeze when she claws. Or, my favourite... a water gun!

(Of course the only thing which eventually made Treacle stop was moving house, but the water gun did help a bit!)

I would've if it had continued but it's eased up now; almost gone in fact, thankfully!
