Ahh yes I've forgotten about this for a while. So whats new?
Went on holiday.
First up: The Scottish Deer Centre in Cupar. Mainly because I wanted to see the Wolves there. There are only two but it was good to see some. We bought two bags of deer feed at the start and the deer just follow you in whatever field they're in smacking their lips!
We got to meet two of the deer close up and pet them. One had been taken in by an elderly lady and she kept it in her kitchen for about 8 years until it got too big. There were reindeer, squirrels and other animals as well.
Went to the falconry demo. Saw an eagle owl, a peregrine and a hawk being flown. The handler was enjoying terrorising the small children by getting the birds to fly over their heads.
Wednesday: After seeing a sign the previous day for the Fife Animal Centre we decided to go. This was more a case of walk around a big field and look at the animals. Most of which were incredibly greedy. I did get to see some micropigs though. (I might even upload photo's shortly). There was a darkened room at the back of one of the buildings for bats. Once my eyes had adjusted I could see all the fruit bats in there. Plus there was a baby bat. After that we went into an aviary where a green bird took a liking to us and sat on both of our hands. Eventually it hopped in to her hood. I had to take a photo of that one.
Wednesday went to Glasgow shopping and had a look around the modern art gallery. We still don't get modern art.
Saturday: We had booked some Archery at the local country park. I don't know why but the wife ended up with the same size bow as me, despite being a foot in height shorter. I got about 7 or eight centres. Not bad considering I haven't shot a bow this century!
Sunday: To Glasgow we went to see the William Blake paintings. They are located at Pollock House. Bizarrely a load of minis turned up with people in fancy dress. After this and looking around the house we went to the restaurant and had some pumpkin soup. Then we went off to the Burrell Collection which is in the same park. We also went on a ghost tour although being at 2pm it wasn't that scary. Ended up going home a completely different way to which we came but that's usual when we go anywhere. Who needs a sat nav. I can read signposts!
Monday: Had to wait in for a plumber as the bathroom tap had been dripping and now was a flow. He's turned if off and now hasn't got back to us. I'm going to start complaining shortly to the company.
Wednesday: Went to Edinburgh. We were going to walk up Arthurs Seat but I had a pain in my back and so did she.
Then it was back to work.
Been back at work for about a week. Nothing much has happened.
I'll probably edit this post when I see the photos they will jog my memory.
