Monday: Went to work a half hour early to have what is being called the "Big Meeting" sounds ominous doesn't it? It's to basically explain what's going on at Christmas. So I arrived at 9.30am to get this meeting. After finding out Ann-Marie and Linda were on it as well I didn't feel so much of an idiot. We went to the training rooms which were both being used by the new starts/Christmas temps we're having. We got re-directed to another part of the store. Sat there til 9.50 then went to find someone. Eventually Tracy turned up and said she couldn't get a room for us as she needed video facilities. So much of a cock up we eventually went back to the tills and did our normal shifts. Although we did eventually get our big meeting at 17.00 that day. Great apart from the fact I was meant to be doing some peoples breaks. Although I was on the last one. So I now have my thank-you £20 gift card. Plus there's the double-discount day on the 8th of December. Plus I have a 10% off voucher from my 100% mystery shopper.
Tuesday: Did housework. Washing, Ironing (my asda shirts only), Hoovering and various other stuff.
Wednesday: Was very bad and sat on my backside and caught up with X-Factor, True Blood and the gadget show. Thank heck for the red button and online.
Thursday et al: Worked. Did a famous 12 hour shift again on Saturday. I have been invited out for a night out with the checkout staff but seeing as I a) Don't dance and b) Don't drink there isn't much point. Still it was nice to be asked.
Birthday next Saturday woo. 30 years of being the one liner quiet bloke in the corner! Go me.
