Yes, ambivalence is a common and legitimate occurrence...

01/28/2014

Ambivalence:

noun

1) the state of having mixed feelings or contradictory ideas about something or someone.

Ex: "To be or not to be." or "I love you, but I fucking hate you."

I can't with people who think that the world is simple with no grey area. Especially something as complex as human emotions. People legitimately experience ambivalence all of the time. I find it fascinating when someone who doesn't understand the concept of this always tries to enforce a "solution" or ideal that only makes the other person's situation worse. Or they just sit there and judge because they can't explain their ignorance. Whatever. You can love and resent a person at the same time. You can want to die but don't want to stop living at the same time. I'm sorry your life is so simple that you cannot grasp this.

Clearly you are writing about a friend of mine. Simply because of what she views.. Here's the thing. Opinions are just that.. Opinions. You don't know what's going on in her life or what has happened in her life to have to make solutions or choices that she had to make.

It's not ignorance at all. It's because of how she was raised and what she's been through. Again you don't know her situation or what her life is like..

YOU are being a bitch because she was simply just stating that having to resent a child is wrong and that child will grow up know that a mother resents her and pretty much doesn't want her and then that child will grow up hating the mother..

Aww. I love it when I hit a nerve. You talk about opinions, but my writing this is exactly that. So cry more, cowardly weirdo.
