It's A Love Story.<3
Okay, so I am doing word problems for ACT prep class, and they are algebra 2, and I am confused. I'm going to type them out here, and hopefully someone will be able to help me.
1.) A rectangular garden is 10 ft wide and 12 ft long. A walk of uniform width surrounds the garden. If the total area of the garden and the walk is 168 ft^2, what is the width of the walk?
2.) The area of a rectangular card is 128 cm^2. The length of the card is twice its width. What are the dimensions of the card?
3.) A rocket is launched from ground level with an initial velocity of 224 ft/s. When will the rocket reach a height of 528 ft?
4.) The sum of the number of A's and B's on a math test is 15. There are more B's than A's, and the sum of the squares of the two numbers is 113. Find the number of A's and the number of B's.
