PLEASE READ THIS LINK IF YOU FEED YOUR DOGS AND CATS NUTRO! I have been feeding my cats this for a long time now. They did amazing on it. Well, my cats started puking and vomiting like crazy the other night. It wasn't just Otis. I had also put them on fancy feast temp because I'm short of money so I had to feed them what I could afford at the time. And I never change their diet. It's rare and only when I'm short of money and don't plan ahead of time! Also I don't think the sudden change in the diet did this. My cats have the strongest stomach's I have ever seen and they have never in their life been sick like this. The smell was un-bearable. I have to find a food now that I can feed my babies on. And Beaudreaux too (My Shih Tzu). He is the pickiest eater I have ever known. I honestly worry so much over him not eating. If he won't eat hard I have to buy him something like a can of Cesar just to make him eat But if you have ever looked inside the meat.....yuck. I try to feed my babies top quality foods you can't find at just any old store. As a precaution I'm going to stop feeding my babies Nutro. And ask my store manager why they still sell Nutro and call my District Manager as well. ( I work at PetsMart PetsHotel, for those who are curious and YES we have a Hotel in the store lol) People have a right to know what they feed their babies. I guess I'll have to keep looking for a food B will eat. My cat's will eat ANYTHING. But they are old and I want them to have the best if not almost as good, Same as my dog. Sorry if some or most of you don't have an interest in this. And regardless if you like me or not. This is for our Fur kids we all love dearly and I just wanted people to know It's happened to me too. And I wanted to spread the awareness. Best of luck and happy health and living with the Fur Kids :D ~Audrey |

I don't think we get that cat food here. My cat can be picky sometimes too. There's two brands of cat food that he likes more than any other, but I've tried various ones, and health wise he's been great regardless of which one I use. He's only allowed tinned food though, because he needs the extra fluid as he doesn't drink much and a couple of years ago he had a urinary obstruction. Dried food has been banned since then!

Aww poor kitty. I'm pretty sure he doesn't mind the wet ;). Seeing as my cat wails everytime I open up wet food for my dog. He'd take that any day over dry. Screw having nice strong clean teeth. He wants 1 or 2 dangling so long as he has wet LOL.
I'm glad your kitty is better and well now though. :D |

Yeah, the teeth issue is the down side to a purely wet diet. His teeth are bad. He had to have 6 removed a couple of months ago under general anaesthetic, and will probably have to have more removed next year. But better no teeth than no kidneys!
