I'm leaving tomorrow night for a 16 hour road trip and I am making cd's today. I'm kind of bored with the songs I've been listening to & wanted to know what your favorite road trip songs are, or your favorite songs in general? Also, what are some good "summery," songs?

I've never heard of reserving music specifically for road trips.

Strangers by the Kinks. That's for a nice quiet bit of road near sunset.

Basically, I just want to be introduced to new music. Any specific bands people really like & think I should check out, etc.

Ah. Listen to 90s "Happy" music. Blue's Traveler is a good one.

I listen to Millencolin, Less Than Jake and Ash on roadtrips. Old bands, good stuff.
